Sure enough, you were sobbing when Annie spotted you by the water fountain.

Not, however, for the reason she believed. Annie initially believed that your tears were a result of the offensive remark, but the issue went much deeper. You were in tears because the comment was made by one of Hitch's friends-not just any friend, but a person she was always with-and it got you wondering if Hitch also thought that about you. But Annie didn't think the way you did, so she skipped some details and simplified the reason.

"Don't take anything she says seriously; she's just a bitch." Anniesaid trying to make you feel better.

"Do you think Hitch see's me that way?" you said through your crying

"Listen y/n forget about Hitch she doesn't deserve you"

"But she's the -" You were going to ramble about she's the only friend you've ever had but Annie cut your speech short.

"Then go get something else because like I said she's undeserving of you"

"Annie-"

"You heard what I said now lets go clean you up"

Since water had gotten all over your clothing and Annie had an extra, the two of you walked to her locker to get you another shirt. You two then went to the water dispenser to get Mikasa and Reiner some water.

When you two returned, Mikasa was standing there as if she hadn't just run nonstop for 20 minutes. Renier, on the other hand, was panting like he'd just run for his life, with Connie next to him on the floor, waiting for Sasha to get him some water because she'd forgotten to bring him some.

Despite the fact that Mikasa didn't appear to need it, you still went over to her to give her the water you had gotten for her.

As you drew nearer, you noticed she was speaking to Eren, so you gently touched her on the shoulder to offer her the water, which she accepted.

This caught Eren's attention, and he made his way over to you intending to bother you as usual. He didn't care that Annie was with you because he knew that if Annie even dared to touch him, Mikasa would swoop in and save his ass.Eren hated it when Mikasa babied him, but when it came to Annie, he was more than willing to accept the treatment.

"Hey babe" Eren said to you.

This made Annie almost immediately get in front of you.

"Get away from her Yeager"

"Relax i'm just trying to talk to my baby"

"No, you're trying to get another trip to the infirmary. Now move" Annie was staring daggers into him at this point.

"Calm down, Annie; you don't want any problems, do you?" Eren was referring to Mikasa, who was staring Annie down like a hunter at its prey, ready to attack at any moment.

"Eren, I'm not scared of your babysitter, so like I said, move."

Eren didn't listen, instead reaching out his arm to grab your hand, which Annie smacked away.

Mikasa stepped in front of him, staring daggers at Annie. Making Annie do the same to her.

You felt extremely uncomfortable about the entire situation and overwhelmed by everything that had happened today. When you felt overwhelmed, you tended to cry, and you thought that you had shed enough tears for the day and didn't want to do it again, so you needed to leave.

So you whispered to Annie that you needed to go to the bathroom and left.

In reality, you were on your way to the library. You have no idea why you lied to Annie, but you did. It was probably because you were afraid that if you said somewhere other than the bathroom, she would want to go with you, which you didn't want.
