Y/n's pov

I entered the house and saw my dad sitting on the couch with a beer, watching television.

I didn't want my day to go any worse, so I just started walking to my room without saying anything to him.

That was a big mistake.

"Since when do you walk in my house and not speak to me" my dad asked.

"Oh I'm sorry. You told me not to bother you when you were watching tv." I replied, scratching the back of my neck nervously.

"Hmm. Anyways, why are you home this late? school got out 20 minutes ago."

"Oh I walked"

"Why didn't you just go home with violet"

Internally, I rolled my eyes. I hated the amount of questions he was asking. But nonetheless I still answered them.

"She was going out with her friends, and I'm sure she didn't want to drop me off and drive all the way back. And she certainly didn't want me there."

"I can't say that I blame her. You are a slut, and I wouldn't want to be seen with you either."

I knew it was coming. He always had to go and say shit like that to make me feel less than everyone around me.

Instead of fighting him I just decided to walk to my room.

"You're going to be just like her," he said as I was walking away.

His sentence made me stop dead in my tracks and turn around.

When he noticed I had stopped he decided to continue.

"Hell you already are just like-" Before he could finish his sentence I cut him off.

"I WILL NEVER BE ANYTHING LIKE HER OR YOU. I WILL NEVER BE AS SHITTY AS NEITHER OF YOU. YOU BOTH ARE AWFUL PEOPLE BUT IF I HAD TO PICK I WOULD RATHER BE HER THAN YOU. YOU KNOW WHY? BECAUSE YOU ARE A TERRIBLE MAN AND I HATE YOU WITH MY WHOLE BEING, I HATE YOU WITH ALL OF ME. HELL I HATE YOU BOTH ACTUALLY. ALL YOU EVER DID WAS GIVE ME A SHITTY LIFE." I shouted at him.

And then I went to my room to calm down, knowing I'd have to deal with the consequences later.

When you got in your room you were met by your step sister Angie .

"Surprise" she said.

Your other step sister was Angie. Unlike Violet, she was really nice to you. Angie was only 6 years old when your parents married, and her mother forced you to care for her, so you practically raised her. Because your house only has three bedrooms, you share a room with her which isn't a problem but she can be a handful at times and you have to get up early in the morning but you just have to deal with it because let your step mom tell it Violet needed her own because Angie was annoying and she needed personal space.

"What are you doing here aren't you supposed to be in school"

"I wanted to surprise you so I got home early"

"Oh"

"But tell me about the first day!" she said walking over to you and giving you a hug and then sitting on her bed.

"It was the same as usual," you shrugged.

"Really ?" she tilted her head to the side. "That sucks"

"Who you telling"

"How many breakdowns" she asked

"How many times did you encountered him?" she rolled her eyes.
