30 - Outcome

The car pulled up in the same car park as before, screeching to a halt. Ijichi had driven fast; the sky was now darkening, pink clouds going dull as night fell. Soon, what you'd seen in the vision would take place.

You shut the car door and Ijichi drove away. Gojo and Megumi had gotten out with you.

"Do you know when the man gives Itadori the finger?" Gojo asked.

"No..."

"Do you know exactly what part of the school we'll find the man and the students?"

"No... but I thought you'd be able to find them with your 'six eyes' technique, right?"

"Nope!"

"What!?"

"I used up all of my cursed energy to put you in the trance, remember?"

"So if you can't help us, why did you come?"

"I came in case of an emergency. I'm still very capable of fighting without my cursed energy, and it should come back soon, anyway."

"But we don't know where–"

"No, but you know they're in the school and you know what the area looked like. You should be able to find it from here."

Megumi stared at the floor, deep in thought. "Doesn't he know that we're coming, though?"

Gojo nodded. "L/n-san, you said he was talking to you in the trance, so he must know you're going to come here."

"Shit," Megumi cursed, "That means he would've already given Itadori the finger. Itadori could have become Sukuna's vessel by now!"

"No, he hasn't. I'd know if Sukuna had been reincarnated already. Besides," Gojo said, looking to you, "The man wants Sukuna to kill you. There's a chance this boy may be capable of suppressing Sukuna, if he's able to become Sukuna's vessel, so I'm guessing Sukuna won't take over his body for long."

"So... he's waiting for me," You figured out. "Do you reckon he's already given the students the finger?"

"I don't know... but we can't wait. There's no point waiting for him to give up, because he'll kill you himself if he can't get Sukuna to do it."

Suddenly, there was a sharp pain through your head. It felt like your head was being split in half.

"Y/n!" Megumi yelled as your eyes shut and you collapsed.

Everything quickly went black.

You watched with Megumi as the curse threw Itadori around. He accidentally threw the finger in the air and the curse grabbed him tight with two hands.

"NO!" You screamed, "ITADORI, DON'T!"

"I know!" He yelled back. "I won't eat it!"

"Gojo!" Megumi called.

Gojo came out of the building. He stood in the gaping hole in the wall of the building, looking out onto the platform. You froze when you saw him.

He was at his physical limit.

He collapsed onto his knees, watching as Itadori struggled against the curse, doing nothing but stare. It was all he could do. Like you and Megumi, he couldn't help Itadori.

As the finger dropped back down, Itadori caught it between his teeth.

"Itadori, no!" You yelled, trying to get up, but your body wouldn't allow it. He struggled against the curse, which was trying to swallow him whole with the finger.
