It's a plane!

Mmmm. It's so warm now that the fire's lit. But maybe I won't stay in the cave. It's really creepy. I sit for a while, contemplating life. Huh... Whoa déjà-vu! This sounds like when I was staring outside my window. When I was back in the palace. With my family...

I put out the fire and smuggle Squishy into my bag. I climb back down the mountain. Great what now? I look around. Then I see it. It's perfect! I'll just fly away, on a plane. Wait, I don't have my passport. But, then again. I could just show my ID. They'll know it's me! I walk over to the airport. "Hey! Where were you at school?" It was Jade. Why was she here? Does she know what I'm doing. Did my parents send her to bring me back or take me to boarding school. No. My parents would have sent someone older. Not Jade. But still; why is she here?

"Hey, Jade. What are you doing here?" I questioned

"Oh, we're here for a school trip. Mrs. Leatherhall is taking us." She pauses to whisper in my ear " finally something fun!"

I laugh. Wow, it seems like forever since I last laughed. Well here it goes. I guess I should tell her that I ran away. Maybe she'll let me stay with her. But then again her parents are quite strict, but really caring. I have to tell her. "Jade, I um, ran away." Oh no she looks shocked, she probably thinks that I don't like her, seeing as I ran away. "My parents decided to send me to boarding school. But I didn't want to go, so I ran away. When I saw the airport I though, maybe I can go somewhere else." I said meekly

"Mary-Anne, you can't just run away from your problems. You need to face them head on. I know it sounds weird coming from me being quite shy most of the time, but still." She reassures. She then hugs me tightly, I squeeze her back, then smile happily. At least I have good friends. I don't feel so alone now.
