Hi! "Her Notional Friend" is a one-shot written by myself. The primary goal for which I created this one-shot was for a school project (roleplay), which required a straightforward script—not overly nuanced, but simply feasible for my classmates and English teacher. However, because I am not good at writing scripts, I opted to write it in third-person narrative format (an approach that is a skill I am excellent at) before writing it in script/screenplay format.

The narrative in controversy was meant to be in the horror genre, but I was determined to make it more profound and convoluted. That's how I came up with the notion of making it a psychological thriller. I'm a fan of horror, thriller, mystery, paranormal, fantasy, and, in particular, psychological thrillers.

I was overjoyed with my written work since I got to play my main protagonist "Xiomara," who has a mental illness. This one-shot narrative is intended to provide people with a better understanding of the mental health issues prevalent in our society as a whole, and it should not be taken lightly or insignificantly. And you know what's even better news? My English teacher was pleased with the story I created!

Everyone's mental health should be prioritised, whether they are criminals or not. Although I have a Covert Narcissistic Personality condition (Covert NPD), I created this one-shot by putting myself in the shoes of the main protagonist—as if I shared her existence, as if I had her mental disorder, as if I were her.

I got a lot of joy in writing this one-shot because I get to explore, discover, and comprehend her character the more I create and write about her, so I'll be able to portray her flawlessly in the play.

This is where my message ends. I do hope you'll get to open your eyes and be more cognizant of the circumstances around you. Thank you for taking the time to read this one-shot story.
