I enter the main lobby, and it was beautifully decorated.

And then I started feeling nervous, seeing hot people all around me.
Damn

The party was grand, there was music blasting from the speakers.

I always have a habit of looking at the floor while walking. So I'm usually unaware of my surroundings.

As I walked towards the bar, where I saw my friend with some models, I accidentally bumped into someone.
"Sorr-" I stopped midway, and the other person did so too, for whatever reason.

It was THE Wi Ha Joon, the person I'd bumped into.

And I completely understand you, dear friend.
He's FINE. Oof.

"Sorry" he completed, with a blunt look and I kind of awkwardly nodded as he walked away.
I saw my friend on one of the stools of the bar, but she had turned towards me and was in shock.
I walked briskly towards her, and it seemed like she was still in shock.
"Tell. Me. Everything." She said.

"Dude I literally just bumped into h-"

"WHAT DID HE SMELL LIKE?
DID HE ASK ABOUT ME?
DID HE ASK YOU FOR MY NUMBER? DID HE BUMP INTO YOU BECAUSE HE WAS LOOKING AT ME?" her expression changed from shocked to dreamy as she said the last sentence.

"I don't know, I didn't notice. But he didnt say anything, he just walked away" I said, and she looked disappointed

"Whatever, I WILL get his number today" she said.
She started fixing her hair, brought out a small mirror from her purse, fixed her makeup, sprayed on some perfume, and got up.
"Wish me luck" she said, winking at me and then immediately walking off.

"Good luck" I said quietly as she left.

I slightly turned in my seat and found Wi Ha Joon sitting on one of the big couches laid out in the midle of the room, for the purpose of "just chilling".

I was kind of surprised to see that his gaze was on me.
And then I saw my best friend approaching him, clearing her throat beforehand.

It took him a second to realize she was beside him. He shifted his gaze from me and looked at her, kind of annoyed.

I better leave them alone, I thought.
I turned around, while I couldn't help but wonder why he was looking at me.
Maybe he was just- spaced out, for whatever reason.

I watch with my peripheral vision as she is leaning over him on the huge couch- standing, while he's sitting.

But he's not even looking at her. Ouch.
I watch her snap her fingers to regain his attention.

He pretends like he'd spaced out whereas he was just avoiding her.

I watch as he gives her a fake smile, and she asks him for his number, shoving her phone into his hand.

Then she looks up and around at everyone, an arm on her waist, as if she's very proud of what she just achieved.

She looks at me and I quickly show her a thumbs up.
I can see Wi Ha Joon's face from that angle, and he's not impressed.

For some reason he looked like he gave her his number just to get her off his back.
Rude.
.
.
.

I can hear her heels as she comes to me- almost running.

"So, how did it go?" I asked her. I wanted to know what happened from her POV.

"Well, he smiled at me and gave me his number as soon as I asked for it.
He also complimented me by saying I look gorgeous tonight. He clearly wanted to talk to me for longer but I came here. Playing hard to get is the key, you know?" She said, all in a rush.

Ha- none of that really happened, but who cares.

"Sooo, what are you gonna do now?" I asked.
"Well, I'm gonna linger around, pretend like I know the people near him, and catch his attention once again. OH, and most importantly, pretend like I don't care about him-"
"But wouldn't that throw him off? Hey, don't do that" I interrupted.

"Playing hard to get, remember?" She said, twirling a strand of her hair.

"Okay, can you like, turn around and see if he's looking at me? I mean obviously he is, but i just want to check"
"Sure" i said.

I turn around and pretend like I'm looking for someone, but that wasn't the case.
And, no, he wasn't looking at her- he was looking at me.
So he was staring at the wall, probably.
Right...?
As soon as I looked at him, he looked away.
Usually that's a sign that indicates that the person you looked at WAS, infact, looking at you too,
but surely that's not the case here.
Surely.....

All of a sudden, she grabbed my wrist.

"WHAT- is he LEAVING right now?" She asked, gritting her teeth.

I turn around, and sure enough, he had that "I'm sorry but BYE" look on his face, as he was probably making an excuse to leave.

He shot one last glance at me- I think, and then finally left.

    My friend sighed.
"Oh shit. Whatever, atleast I got his number" she said, her face lighting up.

Then she got up and walked away to flirt with other people.

Good for her.

  My phone lit up.
It was a notification from my company.
I HAVE A MEETING TOMORROW??? AT 7 AM???

I'll somehow manage to wake up early, but I don't have any material prepared.

I GOTTA RUN.

I stand up, try to find my friend, and run towards her.

But i was wearing heels. Goddammit.

"I gotta run, I have a meeting tomorrow" I said.
"Um okay-" she said.

Geez.

"K, bye"I said.

I exited the main lobby and entered an elevator.

WHICH FLOOR WAS MY PARKING LOT ON AGAIN-?
It's either B1 or B2.
Screw it, I'll try both.

I decide to get off on B1 first.

Even it's not my parking lot, what's the worst that could happen?

I get off at B1 and look out for my car.
I spot one that kind of looks like mine.

But as I get closer, it wasn't mine.
Shit.

Wait- is that...? No it can't be-
