Repent Part 1

I'm at home and I decided to call Brent, one of my best friends to advice about what happened earlier with Essence. I'm crazy about her and my player side kicked in. She changed me a lot, she taught me how to love and life isn't just about "sex". Now I ruined it. Me and my ego, what if she never comes back? What am I going to do? 

My thoughts are interrupted by Brent coming in with some snacks. I can't believe I'm asking HIM for advice, I mean who am I kidding, the guy dates five girls in a day.It's just because I'm desperate and I don't have any other friends, true friends anyway. All of them hang with me because of my looks and Trey Songz is my uncle, other than that...nothing. I've known Brent since diapers and we are tight.

Brent: So, Quintin...why am I here again? Because really man, I was with Tiffany and that girl. You           know what never mind. A brother is in need. You sounded upset and you were crying. What's                     wrong with you. Okay here I am babbling on and not letting you talk. So go ahead, I'm all                           ears...

Quintin: Thank You *chuckles* You do talk a lot. Well it's Essence. She's been ignoring me the whole day and I miss her so much. I think she hates me for all those things I said to her. Because of                    you and your advice!!

Brent: Me! What did I do? Look man , if you and your girl have problems, don;t blame it on a brother     okay. My advice to you was about the sex thing that's all. No pressure.

Quintin: Well I also have another problem...remember Lisa from the other day?

Brent: Yes...and Tia. You are still thinking about her. Well she was beautiful.

Quintin:  I want to ask her out. You know, she's beautiful and she can give me sex, smart and independent. I can handle two women right?

Brent: She's old and you know old women and their possessiveness.

We are interrupted by a door shutting and Essence appears very shaken but cool. She walks towards me and sits on my lap and kisses me. I feel some awkwardness from her.

Brent: Ess what's wrong with you...you look guilty of something.

Ess: Vvvv-erry funny Brent. Uh...I need to talk to Quintin.

Quintin: Why are you stuttering? This isn't normal...what's wrong *worried look*

Ess: I'm just tired that's all

Brent: Nah, you look like a cheater and you smell of sex.

Ess: I'M A VIRGIN * SHOUTS*

Quintin: Okay , why did you have to shout? * chuckles*

Brent: then why are you being defensive? Look I know a cheater when I see one....because I am one. I got an A for lying till I'm busted, an A+ for lying about lying and the list goes on. You stutter,you're uneasy and 'tired' I'd say first time cheater * laughs hard*

Quintin:  Stop shaking my girl and anyway she's a virgin. 

Ess: Brent , I think it's time for you to leave...

Brent: You too, you need to go home. Later brother.

Essence waits from Brent to leave and starts undressing herself and pulls me up . I'm speechless and just follow her lead. It's like she's suddenly experienced over a few hours.

 The next day at Tia and August's Condo

I'm a Tia's place and I still can't  get over that Quintin kid.He was just so perfect. Tia is raving about August spending time with Nicki supporting him about something. My thoughts are running wild. I'm engaged to Ray Smith but I'm attracted to a Neverson, like life couldn't get anymore difficult. Tia snaps me out of my thoughts.

Tia: Lisa, what's wring with you? Here I am needing a shoulder to cry on and you are neither supporting nor listening to me?

Lisa: Sorry...It's Quintin again. I've never felt love at first sight till I saw Quintin.

Tia: You are getting married soon and here you are willing to throw away your high school sweetheart for a teenager..really? Forget about him , we need to issues the invitations for the Trendy showcase remember?

Lisa: Yes!Yes! I almost forgot. Quintin has been on my mind 24/7

Tia: OMW! Lisa please. Just call Zee and Trey please.

I call Zee and Trey about the showcase and ask them to bring Quintin with. I made up some stupid excuse about it being educational. I sounded desperate. I want to get to know him better that's all I mean that is innocent right?

Rays TWICE showcase night

Essence and I are getting ready  for tonight and we are waiting for uncle Trey and Aunt Zee to pick us up. Essence has been getting ready until I saw her walking down the stairs. She was just amazing, I was speechless. She was wearing a black dressing , draping down her chest, with an open back and diamond jewelry I got her. 

Ess: Babe, what's wrong? I'll go change if its bad

My uncle Trey walks 

Trey: You look gorgeous.

Ess: What are you doing here?1

Quintin:  Yes, he's my uncle. What do you mean?

Trey: Let's go. I'm ready. Essence? You ready?

Quintin: Of-course, let's go babe. Where's aunt zee

Trey: She's already there...

We leave, Essence pinches me for not telling her about our ride. But she got used to it. Brent gets in the car. He's late as always. It's quiet in the car, Essence is distant. I try to shake her out of it but she just smiles dimly.

Trey POV

I can't stop thinking about Essence and what happened. She just left me naked in bed with no explanation + she's been ignoring my calls. I just wanted to see her and hear her voice that's all, is that too much to ask for? I can't keep my eyes on the road, she's so beautiful in the back seat , all quiet. I need her but I feel left out. Zee interrupts my thoughts with a call. She's asking where we are and all. She can be annoying sometimes.

At the TWICE headquarters

I'm so proud of Ray and his success. He's so special and I love him , however Quintin is coming and I feel so nervous about how I look...

Lisa: Ray stop stressing, you've got this. You look amazing and you're going to rock them.

Ray: Thanks babe...for everything * takes her hands*

Lisa: It's my job as your fiance.

Ray: No, I'm serious. Without you, I wouldn't be here with all your support and love. Thank You Lisa,our dream is becoming true.

Lisa: ooh look at the time. Go everyone is waiting.

Ray hurries off and I feel more bad.After all he has said and Quintin on my mind I feel terrible. How can I do this to him. Before I go out , I see Quintin with a beautiful girl. I get a little bit angry. That's it, I'm going to be Mrs Smith...Fuck Quintin.

*Ray begins his speech*

Zee: Oh Fuck No!
