Chapter 4-Trip To The Human World

“Airi, wake up!!” I felt a pair of hands on my shoulders, shaking me to wake up.

I quickly sat up, swiping the hands away, glaring at whoever woke me up, until I realized it was Luppi.

“What did you wake me up for?!” I yell, wiping at my eyes, yawning.

“It’s time for your birthday present.” He says, grinning up at me.

“Present?” I ask.

“Yes, for your birthday.”

A big grin crossed my face as I stared at him. “Really?” I ask.

“Yes, but you need to get into a gigai so we can go to the human world.”

“WE ARE GOING TO THE HUMAN WORLD?!” I ask, jumping up out of bed, clinging to him, hugging him tightly.

“Yes.” He says, chuckling, pulling me closer to him.

“I’m excited.” I say, closing my eyes. I had never been to the human world before. But I had heard so many rumors about the place, and now he was taking me there. “Did you tell mom and dad?”

“No!” He says, quickly, pulling away, lowering his voice. “This is a secret present. No one can know. Now hurry up. I’ll meet you in my room.”

“Okay.” I say, watching him leave my room. I quickly got up, ran to my closet, got dressed, brushed my hair down, and slipped into my gigai.

Once in it, I checked myself in the mirror making sure I looked fine. I had on a pair of dark blue jeans and a purple top, wearing my hair down.

I quickly left the room and went to Luppi’s, knocking on the door, then sliding in.

“I never said you could come in.” He mutters, grinning his usual cocky smile.

 “Did you enjoy yourself being drunk?” I ask.

“Heck ya I did.” He says, winking at me.

Rolling my eyes I sigh. “You ready?”

“Yup. Let’s go.”

I walked up to him, waiting for him to open the portal. When he did, I grabbed his hand, slightly nervous to go to the human world.

“Just stay close to me.” He says, smiling. “By the way, when we get back, expect your parents to be mad at me. I doubt you’ll be able to talk to me for a while.”

“Why’s that?” I ask.

“I have plans /all/ day for you.” He says, tugging me through the portal. I tightened my grasp dramatically onto his arm, following behind, seeing a world open up before my eyes. I noticed blue skies opening up.
