Chapter 8- The Zanpakuto
Yawning loudly, I stretched on my bed. Morning was obviously here and I was in a particularly good mood.
Sliding out of my bed, I slid on a pair of flip flops, wearing shorts and a t-shirt, heading towards the food court, running a hand through my hair, not bothering to clean myself up before I ate.
Anyone could have heard my stomach growling from a mile away. That was probably what woke me up.
Stepping into the cafeteria I saw no one else was in here other than mom and dad. I waved a small hand at them, yawning softly. “Morning.” A small murmur left my lips.
“Morning Airi.” Mom replies back, patting a spot next to her.
Once I retrieved my food, I sat down next to her, beginning to eat.
“Anyways, he’s caused nothing but destruction.” Mom complains, sighing softly. “I’d rather him take his anger out in a different form. Or learn to control it.”
“You forget, destruction is all he’s ever known to get what he wants.”
“Then what does he want?” Mom replied to dad, dropping her head in her arms.
“A girl.” I reply, shrugging my shoulders.
Lifting her head, mom looked over at me, eyebrows furrowed. “What makes you say that?”
“Er… well, uh, I just kind of assumed that.” I reply, stuffing a mouthful of food into my mouth.
Glancing up, I saw dad’s piercing teal eyes watching me as if he knew I was lying. Beginning to squirm under his eyes, I glanced around the room before giving in. “Okay okay! All the girls seem to be googily over him except me. So everyone says he wants me…” I say, mumbling the last sentence.
Hearing a small laugh, I glanced back at my mom as she smiled at my dad. “She’s just like me.”
