His eyes searched the room for anything that could distract him. anything apart from the sound of the keyboard from the other room.

Files and documents lay on the office desk, Luke sat in front of him, he was currently signing an important business deal.

Joseph let out another tired sigh, Luke gave him a glance, his eyes going back to the files.

"What is it? Are you not supposed to be in your office? Working"
Luke questioned, noticing the smile Joseph gave at the question.

"It's worst there, in fact, I hate working"

"Do you plan to go bankrupt? Anyway, your Secretary can take over in your absence"
Joseph let out another sigh at the statement.

"I don't think she will do that"
Luke shot him a questioning look, what was wrong?

"Why? She's supposed to as your Secretary, if the doesn't then why is she getting paid?"
Luke asked, closing the file, hands reaching for another on his desk.

"I broke up with her"

The news made luke pause, confusion and shock took over his face.

"What! What was her name again?  When did you guys start dating?"

"Miracle for your first question, we started dating last week"
Joseph responded, with no remorse on his face.

Luke shook his head, surprised.

"I don't understand, I never……are you serious right now?"

"I am, we broke up yesterday, I got a call this morning that she quit"

"Liar, you caused the break-up, seriously Joseph, stop doing this, first Natalie now…."
Luke paused, watching Joseph's expression at the mention of Natalie.

"Miracle and I were never meant to be, she was good but Nah, I didn't feel the sparks"

"Seriously, you didn't feel the sparks and yet you asked her to be your girlfriend,"
Luke was not surprised, it was always Joseph's excuse.

"Calm down, stop acting like you like her"

"I don't like her, I've never seen her but heard about her from Rachel, I'm disappointed in you, how many more girls Joseph? how many more?"

"Chill, Miracle was a mistake, I'll just find another secretary by tomorrow or next"
Luke nodded, why was he angry?

"I told Rachel about my traveling"

"Oh, how did she react"
Joseph asked, rubbing his temples.

"She was mad at first but there's nothing my romantic side can't take care of"

The two chuckled.
"So tell me, how did the break up happen?"

"It started last night……"

Last night

Miracle engulfed him into a tight hug, smiling after the two shared a kiss.

Taking out a seat for her as a gentleman, the two sat, enjoying the night breeze and the music jams.

"How are you baby?"
She blushed, nodding at his question.
He was always romantic with her.

"You look beautiful"
With that, he pulled her closer, his hands wrapped around her waist.

"Thank you, you don't look bad yourself"

The two love birds were celebrating a week of being together, silly as it sounded, they looked happy about it.
They had spent the week going out to restaurants, museums, and parks showing  their PDA( public display of affection)

Even Joseph surprised her with flowers every day when they got to work.

"Baby"
He called, getting her attention off the game she was playing, she smiled at him, displaying her pearly white teeth.

"Yes, are we still going out tomorrow?"
She asked.

"No, I have something to tell you, it's serious"
With that statement, he had her full attention.

"I… eh… how do I say this…. I want to…. Can we…."
She threw him a look, the 'get to the point' look.

"Ok, see, I'm not saying it's your fault or anything, I want to break up with you"
She looked confused at first, then smiled. It took a moment for Joseph to realize she was laughing, hard.

"Oh my God, Joseph, nice joke, really"
She brushed off the tears from the laughter, smiling at him.

He shook his head, he was not joking, what was it with his past exs thinking he was joking when he tells them? Did he smile when saying it?

"I'm serious, it's over"
Watching her, she looked at him, eyes questioning if he was serious.

"Look" he began, grabbing her hands, unfortunately, she withdrew "it is not your fault baby"

"How could you, did something happen? Did I do something wrong"
She asked quickly, tears threatening to spill out from her eyes.

"No, it's not you, it's me that's the problem, I'm sorry, we were never meant to be"
He tried to sound apologetic but could not, all he wanted was to get away from the crying miracle.

"How could you! I also worked for you for 2 years!"
She yelled, attracting a few stares but it was worthless in calming her down.

"I'm sorry, your soulmate is out there waiting"

"Go to hell!!!!!!!"

She took her bag, cursed him, and stormed out of the place, hailing a cab
