The girl ran, jumping over every obstacle in her way, not caring about the scratches or the lack of oxygen in her lungs that seemed to be on fire.

"I don't want to kill a wizard's blood if I don't have to. Harry Potter's sister should be in the forbidden forest within an hour or…" His hissing voice trailed off as it had come only this time everyone was quiet.

"What are you waiting for?! Go!" Pansy Parkinson exclaimed in frustration, pointing an accusing finger at her once best friend.

An expression of betrayal and horror spread across the green-eyed girl's face.

"No, she's not going anywhere!" Ginny Weasley stood in front of her, followed by all the Hogwarts students except Slytherin.

The girl felt loved and important, but she knew she had to do it. One death is better than a thousand others.

And that's why she snuck out. As soon as she was out of their sight she started running, knowing it wouldn't be long before they realized what she was up to.

I never felt alive anyway.

She thought as she slowed her pace as soon as the clearing came into her view.

Her shoes stopped midway with her hand clenching around a small object.

Resurrection Stone.

"I'm proud of you." She heard a distant familiar voice.

Her head slowly rose to meet her mother's eyes.

"Sacrifice yourself? There must be something in the blood." Sirius joked - she loved his jokes.

She snorted, a small sad smile creeping onto her face.

"You made the right decision for the wizarding world but an unfair one for you." Remus' voice broke through the thick silence.

The girl looked at him in horror - she didn't know Remus was dead.

"Lupin decided to join us here." A young boy, maybe her age spoke up - she recognized him as Regulus Black. Professor Slughorn told her all about him when she was determined to find out who he was.

Finally, her gaze landed on James Potter. Her father wore a small sad smile similar to hers, "Everything will be alright. Remember we are always with you."

"Here." Lily pointed to the left of her chest.

"All of you." She replied, looking at everyone in particular, even Regulus whose bottom lip started to tremble a little.

    "I'm glad you've decided it's time to start over." His mocking voice came from behind the trees, and soon he himself appeared a few meters away from her.

He didn't like this girl with her soul trapped in her body.

She didn't like this Voldemort in whose body her Tom was trapped either.

"What do you want?" She asked calmly even though she already knew what he wanted.

"Once I kill you, the next moment I'll be dead too. The love of your spirit keeps me alive, no horcrux could do that. Even though I want to keep you alive forever, I can't." He frowned, trying to spit out the words, "I realized the mistakes I've made and I want to start over. With you in another life. And that's why I'm killing you hoping to meet you in the next life, hoping you'll remember Tom Riddle and not  me."

"I'm not her and you're not him." She understood everything and maybe just a little bit hoped that she would be luckier in another life. "Do it."

"In the next life. Even as cats." He whispered the last part, hoping she wouldn't hear.  Although her ears did not, her soul did. "Avada Kedavra."

Only one body fell to the ground.

The other disappeared in the form of smoke, dispersing in the air.

"He was smarter before." The man snorted, walking over to the serpentine man's body.

The woman sighed, "Where are they now?"  She asked, curious.

"He's on his way to spend his life waiting for her, and she's on her way to hell."

"What did he expect?"

"Happy ending."
