[FORTY-TWO]

(Tuesday Afternoon.)

Elena Shaw's (POV)

Once we are back home I smile spotting Kellys car in front of the garage, so I gently yet quickly get my baby out and let Emmet know I may call again today or tomorrow. Making my way into the house I smile and lock the door dropping my purse and keys on the table by the entry way. Adjust Esme on my hip she whimper and grumbles in her sleep, so I kiss her head and pat her bottom whispering, "It's ok baby bean." I make my way into the living room and smile seeing Kelly curled up on the couch watching some sappy comedy. I chuckle lightly and she jumps and looks up at us and blushes. Shaking my head walk us around the couch and get Esme and settled comfortably on the other end saying, "Well good afternoon dear." She smiles and grabs the extra trough blanket and covers me and Esme saying, "Hi, I missed you two and this morning was tiring moving everything." She shrugs and I chuckle saying, "You know you could have just hired someone to pack everything than move it." she roles her eyes and yawns stretching saying, "Yeah and then all my personal shit would be seen by some weird men."

Chuckling I smile adjust Esme again, so I am cradling her saying, "Mhm did you at least hire them to move everything after you packed?" she smiles and nods saying, "Well yeah besides I think I got lucky with the house down the road its more woodsy than your place and I discovered when house hunting that there is a little stream out back along with weeping willow tree it is quite lovely." Nodding I smile saying, "I am glad you found something you like and look forward to seeing it honey and your closer now and can just walk here hrmm." She chuckles and nods saying, "Soon but I need to finish up some finalization for the house and Codys things that his parents didn't get." Nodding I frown slightly asking, "How are you feeling since we got back we haven't seen you?" she sighs rubbing her neck saying, "I'm doing ok I am looking forward to seeing doctor Daniel's Thursday yet I'm dreading it too you know..." nodding I reach over and squeeze her hand saying, "I know honey but trust me it will be ok, and you will feel so much better after a few weeks of seeing her."

Kelly Willow's (POV)

I smile at my best friend and baby Esme and relax more into the couch after such a long morning dealing with packing and then having to deal with the rest of Codys thing affairs I just really wanted to the two of them since we have been glued to one another the last few months. After sorting out all the drama and my business I am looking forward to my extending vacation and some alone time but not by much. I have never been a loner and don't know what I would do if I was alone to long. The thought makes me shiver so I replace it by asking, "How was your and Esmes morning?" Elena looks sad as she looks down at her baby and I frown waiting until she looks back up saying, "It has been tough for both of us we both saw the new nursery I had put together for her than we went out and she showed me a few places she had slept..." and she goes quiet and I squeeze her hand saying, "Hey, hey look at me what is wrong?" she sniffles and I see a single tear role down her cheek as she says, "I froze this morning seeing the nursery no long as Jennys It was a shock but even more so when Esme told me she was scared and though I would hurt her if she showed her emotions or how happy she was for her nursery and that she was guilty because I needed comfort yet she got upset."

I nod saying, "Love you know you both have been through hell, and it helps you both talk it out instead of bottling it up yeah." Nodding she wipes her eyes and sighs running her fingers through Esmes golden blond curls saying, "That's not the worse part though, before we went to lunch she showed me where she used to lock herself up when she would slip." I gulp at this shocked and look at my new friend as Elena continues saying, "It was awful Kell, it was an abandoned warehouse down the water front. It was a small office room there..." I look up and see how ghostly pale she is when she says, "The walls had claw marks all over them where she could reach, there was old urine stains on the floor and cardboard boxes along empty water bottles. It was just, she used rope to tie the door closed so she couldn't get out in her little space Kell it was cage for an animal!"
