Irresistible

Part 7

After several hours of conversation, and a look of disbelief on Jungkook and Jimin's face, Tae was able to admit what he'd been attempting to conceal for so long. He didn't mention what you both had just done because it wasn't the right time, but he did reveal the feelings he'd been harboring all along.

Jungkook didn't take the news so well. The very fact that his brother felt this way after all the times he'd ramble on and on about disliking humans confused him. His nose turned bright red and his black ears drooped over the top of his head as he took in everything. Jimin, on the other hand, sat there with arms crossed and a scowl that could rival Tae's, but as the tiger continued, the conversation turned towards a more serious matter. This part made them sit up straight and listen.

"I know you both like her, and the last thing we want is for her to go away. I think, if we really tried, we could make this work. I know you're both feeling jealous, hell, even I'm wondering how we're going to share her, but at the moment the only thing I'm worried about is trying to fix this mess. We can accept her as a mate and let her stay here, but she'll never be fully safe. There is a lot of protocol for adopting a human, and the fact that you acted on impulse, bunny, makes this a little more complicated. Not just anyone is allowed to adopt a human pet."

What Taehyung said made a lot of sense, but Jungkook couldn't help looking over at you. Your beautiful face, soft lips, and sweet aura could make anyone fall in love. It was really a miracle he got to you first. He couldn't blame his hyungs for feeling what they did. But it's when his eyes scanned down over to your neckline that he noticed something that wasn't there earlier in the day. He tipped his head to the side and squinted making sure he wasn't just seeing things. Perhaps it was just the shadows in the room creating an illusion, but just to make sure, he stood and walked over to you where he tugged the collar of your shirt down only to confirm his suspicions.

"Did you take her?!" Jungkook's eyes were large and already becoming watery when he snapped his head in Tae's direction.

Jimin's attention suddenly turned to the bunny whose foot was now tapping against the wooden floor in rapid succession. He watched the way Jungkook had come at you so fast, the way his eyes burned with jealousy. And when Jimin saw the marks littering your neck too, he couldn't stop himself from biting his tongue until it bled.

Jungkook waited for a response from Tae, but when he got nothing, he turned to look at you. His eyes were filled with so many emotions and you could barely hold his gaze. You felt embarrassed and also ashamed. The last thing you wanted was for him to find out like this.

"Jungkook–I can explain..."

"No! I don't want to hear anything. Hyung, how could you!?"

Jimin sat with nerves on end as Jungkook stormed off toward his room where he slammed and locked the door. He didn't dare react or say anything since he was also guilty of having done the same with you. With head bowed, he waited for Tae to speak. The room became silent, making it feel tense, but when Jimin looked up he saw that Tae had his face in his hands while you rubbed over his back in an attempt to comfort him.

He too began feeling bothered at the fact that you were touching Taehyung so much. The hair on his neck stood on end and he realized his tail was swaying back and forth in slow motion. He wasn't happy and his chest felt tight. "What is going on, Tae? You spoke so much about sharing her and saving her, and then you go and do what you will with her behind our backs? She isn't just yours."

Tae finally looked up and curled his lips into an amused smile. "You should talk. Just because I didn't say anything doesn't mean I couldn't smell your scent all over her. I know you had her, really had her, which is something I can say I haven't done. I know what the cost is for sleeping with a human. You seem to be the only one here without control."
