Despite it only being her second time stood among the misty moors, Lupin's cottage had began to feel comforting. That was Evangeline's reason for returning, although her excuse was to inform Remus of the tribulation that had occurred at Hogwarts.

She knocked on the navy door more confidently than last time, unconsciously biting her lip whilst her knuckles rapped on the wood. The older man had answered quicker than last time, opening the door at such a speed that it didn't have the opportunity to squeak and scrape.

''Last time I was here, you said I was welcome to ❛pop by❜ anytime,'' she began, smiling brightly. ''I hope the proposition still stands?''

''Of course,'' he answered, stumbling over his words. It baffled Remus how familiar Evangeline felt, yet he hardly knew her as much as he would've liked. ''Come on in, make yourself at home. Tea?''

The brunette shook her head, glancing at him appreciatively as she entered and started to unwrap her scarf. He nodded, taking her fur coat from her and placing it on a hook carefully. Even upon being disowned, the pureblood still oozed opulence and elegance — it was practically in her blood.

''Something has happened at Hogwarts which I believe you will find great interest in,'' she told Remus, who he led her through the house. They didn't stay in the ligneous kitchen this time; instead, they settled into a modest, warm-toned living room which could've easily passed for the Gryffindor common room.

''Please tell me it's not something to do with Harry,'' he groaned, face palming. James' son was more like his father than anyone could've cared to admit, excluding Snape.

''I wish I could,'' she grimaced sympathetically. ''The Triwizard Tournament has returned, although I am sure you have heard of that by now. Except, three wirzards won't be competing — there will be four, and one of them happens to be Harry.''

Anxiety merged with a glint of pride, intertwining with the handsome lines and brave scars that decorated Remus' face. ''Did Dumbledore not take any precautions, ensure something like this had no chance of happening? It's no secret trouble has followed Harry around since the day he was born, quite literally.''

''He did,'' Evangeline admitted, the sentence sticking in her throat as she defended the elderly wizard. ''There was an age line, so that no one under seventeen could even approach the Goblet of Fire, much less put their name in. If you ask me, I would not be surprised Sirius Black was involved.''
