What is your assignment," Jeremiah asked Monica.
Monica stopped for a moment. She looked Jeremiah in the eye.
"He is The Son of GOD," Monica said.
"You mean the one they call Jesus," Jeremiah asked.
"Yes," Monica said gently, "He will feel alone and forsaken. My assignment is to encourage Him. I must show Him that He is not and never will be forsaken."
Jeremiah drew in a breath.
"Monica," he said, "the punishment for being in riots is crucifixion. Your assignment may not be able to hear you because you-"
"GOD will open my voice box," Monica said, "and the Holy Spirit will teach me what to say."
"You are very brave," Jeremiah said, impressed.
Monica laughed.
"You think so? The truth is that I am scared."
"Brave," Jeremiah told her, "Is being scared and doing what's right anyway. I used to tell my little girl that all the time.
