"Put her in her cell." The headmistress snarled. Irene was thrown in her cell without a care by two guards. Her back hit the wall hard causing her to groan out in pain. "You will be let out when you learn how to keep your attitude in check." With that, the headmistress and the guards left her in the cold cell she's been in for 5 years.

Irene crawled to her bed as her legs hurt too much from the bleeding cuts she had. After so much struggle, Irene managed to get on her bed. She lay on her stomach as her back stung due to the multiple slashes she got from the whip.

Her stomach hurting too as it was littered with black and purple bruises from the guards punching and kicking her. Irene wouldn't cry though. She wasn't able to too. Her throat stung from all the screaming she did while she was getting hurt. So she just tired to sleep.

But that didn't last as she heard the jingles of keys then her cell door open. She turned and saw one of the headmistress with a knife. "No. No please I can't take anymore." Irene pleaded while sobbing. The headmistress ignored the girl's remarks and headed straight for her, smirking. "NO PLEASE!" Irene cried out loud.

"Irene!"

"Irene wake up!"

"IRENE!" Irene jolted upwards to see she was in a car. Her eyes met brown ones. "Elijah?" Irene said, her eyes filling with tears. Elijah's face full of concern, pulled her into a hug. "Elskan you're ok. Nothing is going to happen to you while I'm here. Nothing." Elijah was stroking her back trying to calm her down.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Elijah asked her. Irene shook her head. "Maybe later." She replied with a shaky voice. "Ok. We'll talk later when I pick you up." Elijah nodded.

"You're picking me up? For what?" Irene questioned. "I'm going to take you to dinner so I can explain everything to you." Elijah told her.

"Right. You said you and your siblings have been looking for me for centuries. I still don't know what that means and some explanation will be needed." Irene nodded. "Also do you have a phone because how else are we going to contact each other?" Irene said giving her phone to Elijah.

"Oh yes I forgot about that. Here." Elijah handed his phone to her and he took hers. They both put their numbers in the phones.

"Oh, I also brought you home." Elijah said. Irene looked to her right and saw that she in fact was home. "How did you know where I lived?" Irene questioned, remembering the fact that she never gave him her address. "I have my ways." Elijah grinned.

Irene narrowed her eyes playfully. "Hmm. Ok. Pray for me because if this doesn't go the way I hope it does, you probably won't see me till a few years." Irene said.

"Irene! Get away from that ombré and get your ass inside now!" Irene grimaced when she heard her papa yell at her.

Oh no

Miguel started walking towards the car and stood in back of Irene as he took a peak to look at the man driving his daughter home.

As Elijah and Miguel locked eyes, Irene was now fearing for her life. Miguel narrowed his eyes at Elijah and shook his head. "Quien eres tu? Who are you?" Miguel said in Spanish and English in case Elijah didn't understand.

"I'm Elijah. Nice to meet you." Elijah stuck his hand out for Miguel to shake. "Miguel. Irene's dad." Miguel shook his hand while looking at him with slightly narrowed eyes. "Hmm. Don't you think he's a little to old for you?" Miguel said pulling his hand back and turned his head to look at Irene. "Papa! Im going to be 18 in A few months. Plus he's like 17." Irene told her father in a slight playful voice. Miguel just snickered. "More like 26. Congratulations mija, you got one of the rich ones." Miguel patted Irene on the shoulder.
