Sophie combed her hair, taking out the fluff that had been moved from her pillow. He braided it into a French braid and applied pink red lip gloss onto her lips.
"Pretty, as always." The figure morphed into her mirror, netting her with a smirk. "Thank you. You look stunning." Sophie smirked, smacking her lips together.
The firgure cocked an eyebrow. "I've been wearing this for centuries..." Sophie looked down at her, rolling her eyes. "Take it, or leave it."
Sophie put on a black teashirt, overlayed with black jeans and boots. "Lunch starts in a couple of minutes, so I better get scurrying."
"Right, but about that riddle." Sophie put down her brush. "I'm on it. Treachery amongst familiar."
Sophie dabbled her eyelashes with mascara. Sophie thought for a while. "But who is familiar. Anyone can be familiar."
The figure shrugged, rubbing her hands together.
"My father, the boys, their mother, Agatha, Callis even you." Sophie pushed chewing gum into her mouth.
"Well, you have to get to lunch. I'll see you later."
Sophie waved as the figure disappeared. She followed the Nevers to the School of Good and sat next to Hester.
Agatha fiddled with her new necklace. Blocking out the things that Kiko was saying.
"He told me that I looked pretty in the moonlight and then he kissed me. It was magical. Really! I have never felt that good in my whole life."
"What?" Agatha looked up, her hands falling from the necklace. "Agatha!" Kiko nudged her, making Agatha jolt.
"That necklace is literally taking your whole attention." Agatha rolled her eyes. "Don't be silly." She watched it move as she breathed.
"Whatever." Kiko chomped her salad, talking to another Ever across the table.
After lunch was over, Agatha walked to her room, removing her necklace and placing it on her table.
Knock
Knock"It's open." Agatha watched as Professor Dovey waltzed into the room, looking around.
"...yes?" Agatha asked, eying her teacher. "Oh yes. I've been going around rooms because there seems to be some kind of darkness lurking here."
"Darkness? Is it here?" Agatha got up, checking the room.
"It seems as if, yes."
Agatha's eyebrows forrowed. "What do I do."
"Well I can't find it so---" Professor Dovey sprinkled grey dust onto Agatha's floor, 'clearing out bad spirits'.
Agatha closed her eyes, drifting into a deep sleep. Her head lay on the pillow as Professor Dovey walked out.
The dust only made things worse, for Agatha anyway. She swirled around in her bed, scratching the back of her arm.
Ting
Dust blasted through the room, making Agatha pull her covers over her head, she cowered to one corner, hoping that nothing had just come into her room.
"Hello?"Agatha slid her head out, kaing her way to her door. She flung the door open, but no one was outside.
She examined the inside but it had seemed as if nobody had actually been in the room in the first place.
Her eyes swivelled to the necklace which was now glowing, more beautiful then ever.
Agatha slipped it on, looking at herself through the mirror. So beautiful. She thought as she touched it once more.
Never had she thought of a piece of jewellery this much.
Agatha walked out, walking through the halls.
"Nice Necklace." Nicholas complemented as Agatha passed him him. "Thanks." She kept gushing at her necklace, unaware of the stairs.
Wobbling, Agatha scurried down the stairs, nearly falling face flat.
"That was close." Kiko chuckled as she caught up with Agatha. "Hey." She replied, pulling her in for a quick hug.
"Agatha." Agatha turned around, staring at Sophie. "Hi, Sophie." Agatha smiled. Kiko turned around, not saying anything.
"I was thinking," Sophie glared at her feet. "Do you want to hang out?"
Agatha's eyes softened. "Oh, Sophie. I can't. Kiko and I were just about to. If you want, you can come along..." Knowing the result already, she continued walking up the stairs.
Sophie stared at Kiko before walking off. Agatha had this whole new life now and it seemed to not to enclude Sophie. Maybe, just maybe it was meant to be that that familiar, is Agatha.
Maybe it is.
