It's been 3 days since my first encounter with a human, and hoseok seems pretty nice. He's been feeding me crab and oysters so everything is good.

"So Yoongi how long does a mermaid's tail need before it can heal?" Hoseok asked me.

"I don't know, I've never broken my tail before, but my brother had and it took him around 81 moon cycles to get better."

Hoseok looked at me dumbfounded, that's when I remembered that humans measure time more diffrenrtly then us.

"Sorry, I remembered you humans measure time different from us?"

"No, no, it's okay, you said 81 moons right, so that there are 27 moon cycles in a month so 81 divided by 27 is 3 so 3 months,"

"I'll just say yeah, cause I have no clue what you just explained to me."

He chuckled a little at me, "well then my new roomy, how about you come inside and I'll get you used to human customs since you'll be here for 3 months."

I scoff at him "hoseok that's nice, but your forgetting something."

"Which is?"

I lift my tail out of the water and point to it, he still looks at me confused not getting the hint.

"My tail hoseok how am I supposed to go up there with this."

"But, you didn't have a tail when I found you on the beach."

"What?" I looked at him confused

"Yeah, didn't you hear me before, I didn't know you were a mermaid till I put you in my bathtub, I kinda just turned around and boom you have a tail."

"Really!?" I say in complete utter shock

"Did you not know that before?"

"No."

"Well I, think it happens when you get too dry, cause you were dry when I found you at the beach."

"Maybe, but what am I supposed to do up there that I can't do in here, I have everything I need in here, I have water, food, a place to sleep."

"Yeah, but you have me for food, how are you supposed to get that when I have a job to do."

I let out an annoyed sigh, "so can't you just not go, what's so important about a job anyways?"

"Well I need money, so yeah that kinda the whole point, and my whole establishment will literally crumble if I'm not there."

"Okay, but I don't even know how to walk."

"I'll teach you then."

I cross my arms more annoyed he's making good points.

"Come on Yoongi, plus I think the chlorine is starting to agitate your eyes since their turning red."

I let out an annoyed grumble. I know he's right and the what ever he called is rine, is hurting my eyes.

"Fine but I'm doing this for my eyes."
