Chapter three

"So how's your mum about the whole grades thingy?" ToTo asked as we sat on the bus again in the dingy blue seats.
"A bit better seeing as my grades have gone up a bit. Especially in PE. I actually got a one, I don't think the teacher realises that I'm not paying as much attention to the lesson as far as to him." I giggled relaxing in my seat. I hated germs but I was used to this place.
"But rumour States... He's apparently gay"
"What do you mean?" ToTo looked confused at me.
"I mean. People say he has a profile picture on FB with his boyfriend. I don't believe it but you never know it could be true... I guess." I felt a sharp pain in my stomach but I pushed the feeling aside. I didn't understand what it was and why.
The days passed until the next PE lesson with Mr heiwado and a few more bitchy girls with creepy crushes on him. Twice as creepy as my admiration for him.
"Hey Bella did you know that Mr heiwado's gay?" Hannah laughed pushing me about.
"I'm not gay! Why do you keep telling people that?" He grinned at them then smallened his grin into a sweet smile when his eyes crossed to me.
"Ha but the real gossip is tammy! She's cheating on Ben with a kid from the Latin. I think his names wren? Still weird" another girl laughed. I didn't find that at all amusing. If that was true I had no idea what Ben could've been feeling at that moment and he was one of my best friends so I did feel pretty bad for him.
I quickly whipped out my mobile and texted him. It took him a couple of minutes to reply but when he did he didn't seem phased by the rumour so I asked why he wasn't in as I had thought that had Been why but apparently not. He told me his mums boyfriend had a bash at him. He was a bit bruised and had to wait until he looked decent again for school. I was so worried over him but couldn't think of what I could really do.
"Phone, mine" I suddenly remembered that I was stood in a lesson at the side texting. I turned and placed the phone in Mr heiwado's hand. He smiled then saw the screen light up with a new message. I attempted to pry but he snatched it away catching an unfortunate glimpse at the lock screen of me and ToTo in our bikinis in her room. He quickly looked away dropping the phone into his pocket.
"Oh yeah probably should warn you, basically every girl keeps her phone in her bra." I smiled walking away over to clarity and harmony.
"Thanks" he replied turning back to the other group.

I ran onto the bus later that day to find ToTo in tears on her raggedy blue seat.
"Bae what's wrong?" I asked comforting her softly.
"It's Chris, he. He..." She burst back into tears as I fixed the pieces together. They had obviously broken up. I felt bad but what could I do?
That bus journey was long and tiresome but I had a great weekend to look forward to with clarity and her friend she wanted to introduce me to called Samuel.

We walked up to Sam's house after getting dressed from school then knocked on the wooden door. It opened almost immediately then I saw him. He had short caramel hair and chocolate brown eyes with a light tan on his skin. He was tall but anyone was taller than me anyway. He walked out of the house with us recognising me instantly.
"Hey Bella?!" He grabbed me into a hug.
"Yeah I am, sorry do I know you?" I asked pulling away from him.
"What you don't remember? I'm the year above, primary school in Grendon?" He jogged my memory then I smiled one of the biggest grins I had for a while.
"Oh my god, Duck?" I laughed giving him another hug as we laughed. I used to call him duck when we were younger because when we first met just as he was about to say his name a ball came flying at us and he told me to duck. It was a funny experience but I ended with a bloody nose.
"So should we go to the planks?" Clarity asked as we turned back to her. I had almost completely forgotten that she was still here watching us reunite. I smiled at her then we started walking to the planks.
We stood around at the creaky old bridge for half an hour catching up on life when we decided to go home. Well back to clarity's home.
"So shall we play truth or dare?" Clarity asked taking my iPad and rushing up the stairs. We both followed her then sat on her bed. I sat next to Sam who really had seemed to age well. I touched my foot on his leg hoping he would notice the sign but clarity wouldn't. He smiled then turned back to clarity for the truth or dare.
"Okay Bella, truth or dare?" She asked me showing the app.
"Truth" I smiled as my first option.
"Okay, how far would you go with a guy?" Clarity asked me giggling with a small squirm.
"I don't know, it depends on how long we'd been together but if I loved the guy and it had been over a year of dating then probably a handjob?" I felt embarrassed saying it in front of duck as we hadn't even spoken since we were about 10.
"Wow you really have changed" he laughed touching my arm. I smiled at him and nodded letting my hair flip away from my face and behind my shoulder to show off my pale neck. He quickly looked away and back to clarity who was busy shuffling the iPad.
"Okay Sam. Truth or dare?" She grinned showing him the screen. He leant over and picked the dare button.
"Okay..." Clarity burst into laughter then showed us the screen.
"What's spooning?" I asked confused looking at clarity.
"He has to spoon you!" She squealed with excitement and laughter. I still remained confused.
"Okay then" he winked then leant over me and rolled behind. I had no clue what he was doing but it turned out to just be hugging from behind whilst lying down which wasn't bad at all. In fact I sort of liked it. He was warm and comforting but his phone became annoying after a while then he got up and sat back on the edge of the bed.
"Hey Bella can I speak to you outside for a sec?" Clarity asked jumping up from the bed.
"Yeah sure." I followed clarity out of the room then we shut the door and spoke.
"Hey do you like sam?" She asked me placing her hands on her hips.
"You mean like like? And really duck?" I shook my hair over my face.
"Yeah, come on I know how you look at him. And I saw you touching him up on the bed with your foot." She raised an eyebrow at me which made me crack.
"Sure I guess I do," I began as she keeled over in laughter then tried to get back to the room "but you can't tell him!" I yelled trying to keep her from getting back to him but she escaped.
"Hey Sam can I talk to you outside?" She struggled to contain her laughter as I struggled to contain my nerves. They both went outside as I sat on the bed and she came back in laughing then he sat on the bed beside me and looked into my eyes.
"Hey?" I smiled.
"Will you go out with me?" He replied touching my face. I smiled then nodded and whispered "yeah" then we hugged and I sat with him as we continued the game. So that happened fast...
