Chapter 5 - It Began

Hero's POV:

"Bakugo, is what Midoriya said is true?!"

"Yep, it is." Red Riot muttered dejectedly, still not wanting to believe that his 'best friend' had done that, even though Bakugo had admitted it to them.

"Was Midoriya treated like how he did?!"

"Yeah." Todoroki answered with a bit of frustration in his voice, as he was mad that others decided to treat his first friend like that because he had no quirk. Now he understands why Midoriya was angry at him for only using half of his quirk in the sport festival.

Midoriya was a kid who had no quirk before entering the hero school and was constantly mistreated because of it, for someone like Todoroki, who only used half of his quirk because he thought his left side was his fathers, he would never understand the feeling. No one in the room could truly understand what the green haired teen had been through. Maybe some could understand it to an extent, but he definitely didn't understand how it felt.

Midoriya was giving his all, while Todoroki was planning to half-ass his way through his high school days and his hero career. No wonder the small boy was so anger at him. But because of that, Midoriya was the one who unleased his flames, allowing him to accept them.

For a great person like Midoriya, who gave him salvation in his own flames, how could society and the world treat him like this?

"How are you still in this school if this was true?!"

"We don't know." Tetsutetsu stated, feeling bitter that someone unmanly like Bakugo was able to enter the school for heroes.

"That's a mystery." Added Honenuki with a deadpanned expression.

"Is that how you started to call Midoriya, Deku?!"

Shoji shook his head. "That wasn't nice. Midoriya isn't useless. If anything, he is really helpful. Do you know how many times he had saved us from the villains, when they suddenly attack?"

Asui nodded. "He saved me and Mineta at the USJ."

"He saved me too." Uraraka added. "At the entrance exam. If he didn't destroy that robot, it would have crushed me."

"Don't forget Eri!" Kirishima cheered, remembering the cool way the emerald eyed teen had saved the little girl, though he was trying not to remember the death of Nighteye.

Tokoyami joined in. "Kota too. Remember his arms."

Many winced remembering how injured his arms were. It was impressive how he was able to keep fighting in his state. Even though they were unable to stop Bakugo's kidnapping, they prevented Tokoyami's.

Iida started to do his arm movements. "He even saved me with Todoroki!"

Many people looked at Iida in confusion. Some titled their heads as they stared at him.

"When did that happen?" Kaminari asked.

"Oh um..." Iida started, remembering how they weren't supposed to talk about Stain.

"Before Endeavor came Midoriya spotted Stain about to kill Iida, so he stepped in, but not forgetting to send his location. I was able to get it and I was with Endeavour, therefore we were able to make it in time, while my old man defeated Stain." Todoroki fluently lied.

"Wow!" Many gasped in awe.

"Midori really is a good person." Mina cried out. "You're also lucky that you were able to make it on time. Who would have known what would happen if you were late."
