He can technically turn into whatever he wants but his original form is formless with a pair of glowing eyes.
He can hide in any and all shadows even if they are barely there.
This means that he can be anywhere at any time which he will use to get into his darling's head.
Going back to the fact he can turn into whatever he wants this includes people but he does have trouble getting voices. (He will sound close to them but not quite.)
Even as a shadow he is stronger than any human plus he does claws that can cut through anything.
If he doesn't want anyone near his darling then they won't be.
This just means that he will haunt them until they back off or just rip them apart. (It all just depends on what they do.)
99% of the time he is in his darling's shadow for reasons only he knows.
