Servant POV
*sighs* Why me?, as one of the lower-ranked servants I and very few others were sent to fetch the people required, I was to fetch Sir McVelious an aging but quite active woodsman. Though when fatso had made his declaration I considered it a bit unneeded if the rumors were true, and I'm sure they were, the country's northern border was becoming tense. Under some quite aggressive repercussions to some King Bartal approved hunting within their terf, however, the unconcerned deposition of my colleagues had unnerved me, when I asked why they said well the kings do tend to be jerks so they'll make us get or do something bigger or better than their predecessors and besides my supervisor cut in when I started work here, I was 12 those new smooth-colored tables were finished when I was 18 after that present king was tired of the bland nature of the stone he ordered there sprucing up and it took four years.
After colliding with one of the elderly tea bearers I decided it was time to stop my musings and focus.
LINE BREAK
Stopping before some grand wooden doors I knocked and anxiously waited, soon enough my patience was rewarded by a gruff voice allowing my entry.
Before me sat a man I believed to be about 6'4" tall and was seemingly carved from stone. Stretching and posing in front of the mirror his hard years in the fields showed, as old as he was some youths in their peak couldn't dare step up to him why he wasn't a major part of our military puzzled me. what do you want boy? It's a summons from the king perhaps I nodded well then little bartoms he muttered what do you want this time? Indicated that I should lead the way I left the room and began the journey to the throne, hold on boy 2 things what is your name and take me to the communal baths... yes sir McVelious right this way and the name of the servant before you is Medley.
KING BARTAL BOB JUNIOR POV
My eyes flew across the room of the summoned servants noticing the absence of McVelious I beckoned a dog to me, go with haste and find where McVelious is now. She had not even left the room when the doors were pushed open unwarned and the guards at the doors looked flustered from seeing a single man open doors it took 10 of them to open.
Well hello, there a gruff voice said the other servants did small courtesies as the individual passed them with mutterings of Sir McVelious, the owner of the gruff voice McVelious was a woodsman employed during my grandpa's rein and was relatively famous in my part of the world though he had some radicle idol-worship I made sure to purge the castle of their presence, for was I not surely better than an old man and he wasn't even round just packed with muscle. Your splendid majesty, I McVelious have arrived due to summons and eagerly await my instructions well McVenipus sir my nam-- ehem, yes McVelious I want a new table I'm tired of these older ones, from this room pick out servants that could create a team well able to complete my wish. Ending my instructional dialogue I spent the next ten minutes admiring myself.
SIR McVELIOUS POV
After I had entered the room and made quite the first impression the king explained his purposes not forgetting to mispronounce my name and to t rudely, *sighs* to be expected from a long line of ugly irresponsible throne warmers. Turning my sights on the rest of the gathered learned individuals I said now listen here all of you I personally do not want to endanger any of you so I'll be assembling a team of more experienced individuals so all of those with less than 10 years of experience leave. Casting a glance at the grateful faces of the departing I turned my focus on the 50 or so left, this is a trip we will have to put our lives learning to the test and we'll need all the true dedication we can get to pull this off so those with less than 30 years of experience please leave, sir Mcvelious pardon the interruption but I think that I'm no less useful than 5 individuals you are obviously trying to target so I believe it would be best for you to put me on the team as well.
