"Everybody, run!" Darwin shouted.
As the hole of the Void got bigger, causing most of the land around it to crumble, the remaining Wattersons, Ben, and Penny frantically ran away as fast as they could. Rob however, didn't move a single muscle.
He was honest-to-goones still trying to process the events that just unfolded. In the span of a few seconds, Gumball, Rob's former arch-nemesis, saved him, and in turn, sacrificed himself in the process, taking the fall that Rob was supposed to take.
Rob was speechless, so speechless that he didn't have the will to move. He simply just watched as Gumball fell into the Void.
"Rob! Come on! We've got to go!" Rob heard Darwin say in the background, but Rob didn't pay attention.
As Rob watched Gumball fall deeper into the Void, Rob noticed another wormhole within the Void open. Rob continued to stare in shock (more than before) as Gumball fell into the wormhole. Underneath the wormhole, Rob faintly saw Griff, still being dragged down by the tentacle, wielding some sort of ray gun. Griff notices Rob and looks directly to him. Griff nods in approval, knowing what Rob was eventually going to do.
Rob was snapped out of his shocked trance and nodded to Griff in return.
"Rob?" Darwin called, going unnoticed by Rob once more.
Rob sighed, he had to do this. He had to return the favor. Rob stood up and jumped into the hole after Gumball.
"Rob!" The group collectively shouted as Rob plunged into the Void after Gumball.
Rob once again heard their cries, but didn't care. His focus right now was making sure Gumball made it through that portal safe and (most importantly) makes it out that portal alive.
<hr>
Darkness. All Gumball could see at the moment was darkness.
Gumball couldn't remember the exact events that led to his current predicament. All that he could remember was him falling into a wormhole while hearing his family scream his name.
Suddenly, a disembodied voice called out Gumball's name. He also felt pressure on his chest at the same time.
The disembodied voice called out Gumball's name again, the sudden pressure on Gumball's chest returning multiple times.
This kept going on for minutes, until finally the voice had enough. "Gumball! Wake up!" it shouted.
Gumball was immediately woken up from his trance, his vision now filled with static and sand. "What?! Who?! Where?! Huh?! Why?!"
Gumball looks to his left and sees Rob staring at him. "Oh good, you're awake."
Memories suddenly came back to Gumball as he remembered what happened and why he was in the Void in the first place. "Rob?! What are you doing here?!"
"Uh, trying to save you!"
"Gosh darn it, Rob! You shouldn't've come for me! I didn't want you to revisit painful memories of the Void!"
"I had to, Gumball! You saved my life! And I would be a terrible person if I hadn't returned the favor!"
"Well I..." Gumball couldn't think if anything else to say. Rob actuall had a point there. "Ugh! Just forget it!" Gumball looked at his surroundings. The sky was still being consumed with static, multiple land masses were around them, and many mistakes of the world also floated about.
Gumball assessed the land chunk he and Rob landed on. It was filled with sand, (half) an ocean, and wooden pillars surrounding the area. "Where are we?"
