Chapter 2: Missing Friend, Found?
"Daesuke-? Where did you go?" Montagé muttered, worrying for her new friend.
Elizabeth was awkwardly looking at Montagé. Although Elizabeth apologized for staring, she still thought that Montagé was a tiny bit insane. No one saw her walking with anyone. Elizabeth proceeded to give Montagé the tour. Walking through the halls, Elizabeth helped Montagé get to her locker. The locker was a huge help. Montagé didn't have to break her back everyday carrying those thick, knowledgeable books. No wonder not one student there has failed any exams or tests, Montagé thought of it. Once Montagé neatly arranged her books and supplies, Elizabeth started the actual tour. Gosh, thankfully the two girls had an excuse to skip the first two periods of class. The entire school was a pain to their legs! Elizabeth was panting in a rush as she didn't want to be late for the next class. They only had excuse for the first two periods and nothing else. Eventually, they decided to end the tour at the statue of The Founder of Monford, Monford Francis Wales. He was a great leader and role model to every student there. Elizabeth would explain in short sentences the sacrifices he had made to make this school happen in the town of Valencia. Montagé was quite intrigued in The Founder. He was an interesting person to research on and find out about. But currently, both girls had to get to class, and quick. Montagé had checked her schedule and lucky her, Elizabeth and herself are in the same class! They squealed in delight, but then sprinted to the class. Oh how lucky they were, they were on time! Mrs. Una, their biology teacher, was quite delighted to see them on time. Elizabeth sat down at her seat, besides a boy named, Grand. He was the typical bad boy of the class. He would play jokes on everyone, well everyone but Elizabeth. Everyone would tease them but they would deny every single time. Montagé introduces herself, mannerly and with her social etiquette.
"Good Morning, my name is Montagé Parker, I am 15-years-old, and I hope to keep good relations with everyone," with elegance Montagé spoke.
The entire class was speechless..! Had Montagé shaken everyone? She was worried for everyone now. Had she done something wrong? The class hadn't expect such a mannered-speaking new student! How graceful, the way she talked! The boys had already fallen for her. Stereotypical was the word Montagé was looking for to describe the boys in class. She wasn't interested in any of them. As class started, all Montagé thought about was Daesuke. Where did he disappear to? Daesuke was never a person who would disappear without a trace.. Althought Montagé only knew him for less than a day, she was so worried for him that she couldn't focus in class.
"Ah Ms. Parker! Since we are starting on Plant Biology! Care to tell us what the different Plant Biology fields are?" Mrs. Una spoke with enthusiasm.
Montagé froze, she couldn't speak. She muttered out some words but nobody could make out what Montagé said. Suddenly, a quiet boy stood up. He must've known the answer, thoughts circled around Montagé's head. The boy introduced himself as, Aiden Belle, who had an IQ of over 160! Montagé was shocked to hear it from the girl who sat beside her, Chloe Edwards. Aiden spoke and clearly stating, Plant Anatomy, Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology and Physiology. Everyone was amazed! Such a genius! Compliments were heard all over the class, even Mrs. Una had complimented him as well. He could be a great Professor in the future! Chloe was Aiden's bestfriend since childhood, so they would often be seen with each other.
Nonetheless, it didn't divert Montagé's attention. Montagé was still absolutely worried for her dear friend. After Biology class, was breakfast! The canteen was filled with students! It was a great thing that they allowed students to eat in their former class. Montagé pushes through the crowds and made it to the line. She was starving and her friends were nowhere to be seen. She waited in line for 10 minutes, slowly. She heard so many stomachs grumbling that she didn't know which one was hers! After a few moments of waiting, it was finally her turn to collect her food. The lunch lady, Ms. Garnier slapped a big chunk of corned beef with chips. She added an apple and a juice box, along with some celery. Ms. Garnier asked if Montagé was a new student, and as Montagé was extremely shy, she simply nodded, flustered. Montagé thanked Ms. Garnier and was off to her class. No one sat in class so she intended to read her book while eating. Lunch was quite a treat for her as she didn't eat much back in her old school. She enjoyed every piece of it.
"Montagé! It's me Dae!" Daesuke whispered while appearing out of nowhere.
Montagé coughed in shock and and had to spit out her apple. Daesuke owned Montagé an apology, many, MANY apologies, and a new apple.
