There is no emotion, there is peace.

There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.

There is no passion, there is serenity.

There is no chaos, there is harmony.

There is no death, there is the Force.

Many Jedi, myself included, have this exact code built in to our very being. It dictates our thoughts, emotions, feelings and actions.

Many jedi over the years have broken the code. Some even speaking out against it.

Yet, those who forged their own paths away from the code seemed to only be stronger for it.

Revan, the greatest jedi in history did such, and look at how history recognises him. A hero. A saviour. A saint.

In truth, Revan was a monster, but one of our own makings.

He could abide our code no longer in his pursuit for power. It held him back in his conquest.

Following the Sith code, he broke his chains. He found power. He found strength in the dark. But, when the light found its way back to him, he was stronger than ever, and he saved this galaxy.

But, I always find myself asking, was it the dark or the light within him that gave him the strength to succeed?

There is no evidence to support either side.

If I am to lead the jedi to victory, and save this galaxy, I need to be like Revan, and break my code.

But if I do so, am I any better than those I fight?

Am I still more than a Sith? Or less of a Jedi?

It's times like this where I comfort my mind with a certain saying...

There is no emotion, there is peace.

There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.

There is no passion, there is serenity.

There is no chaos, there is harmony.

There is no death, there is the Force.

I am the jedi battlemaster; yet there is no battle.

We have signed a treaty with the invaders.

I am master of nothing.

They will try to finish us.

I won't let them.

It is my duty, both as a Jedi, and as a Warrior to stand between the darkness and the innocent.

My name is Mara Tallian.

I will lead the Republic to salvation.

One way or another, I will save us all.

Nor will my loved ones come to harm.
