I was in the city on my lunch break. I liked to just hangout in the city in my free time. Walking down the street quickly while on my phone, my shoulder bumped into someone harshly. My phone hopped out of my hand and while I tried to catch it with wide eyes, I felt as if I was in slow motion. A hand swiftly swept it out of the air and caught it before I could. I straightened my back up to the person I ran into that had my phone.
I immediately bowed to them. "I'm so sorry! I didn't see you!"
There was a low chuckle that tangled my nerves. "It's quite alright." The smooth, deep voice replied. It was like I was drowning in honey. "Are you hurt at all?"
"No. I'm fine, thank you. Are you—" As soon as I unfolded and my brain processed who I was looking at, I froze.
Oh... my...
The man standing before me with my phone in hand had a face more beautiful than angels—more beautiful than heaven itself. He was flawless. His black silken hair fell perfectly, the canvas of his skin was sleeker than velvet, his enchanting, dark eyes were blacker than space, his lips were softer and redder than rose petals, and his exquisite black suit with one side of the collar decorated in black feathers and a chain caging his vest complimented his graceful, elegant features so well, it was dangerously alluring. This man could easily put a beautiful bamboo forest to shame with just his appearance alone.
I can't look away...
"Are you sure you are alright?" He spoke again. "You look like you've seen a ghost."
"Y-Yeah... I just... I-I'm a little shocked..." I couldn't help my stuttering.
"I believe this is yours." He handed me my phone back.
"Thank you... N-Nice catch, by the way..."
"Thank you. Although, I'm not quite sure what happened. My reflexes kicked in and then your phone was in my hand."
"I-It's ok... I-I'm just glad it didn't h-hit the ground..."
"You're looking unusually pale. Let me buy you something to eat."
"Oh, y-you don't have to d-do that..."
"No, no. Allow me. Your health is all that concerns me at the moment."
I blushed.
What...?
"N-No, I mean it... I'm fine... Y-You don't need to w-waste your money on me..." I attempted to turn down his sincerely generous offer.
"Nonsense! I'm serious. Allow me to buy you a meal, as an apology.
I obviously failed miserably. "It should be m-me apologizing to y-you..."
"I accept. Now please accept my offer."
"O-Okay... I will..."
"Thank you. Come with me."
The exquisite man in black carefully took my arm in his perfect hand and led me away to a beautiful, cozy sushi restaurant. Once we made it through the front door, I was already out of breath from his quick pace. Curse my short legs!
We sat down at a booth and stayed silent. By the time my miso soup and seaweed salad came, I slowly began to eat the salad. I could feel the man watching me with his calm eyes.
"Why do you feel the need to waste your time and money just to take care of me? We're just strangers." At least my stuttering's gone.
"There is nothing wrong with simple courtesy." He softly smiled at me. I kept my eyes on my food to avoid flushing again. He was too beautiful to not blush at.
