So basically, here is Sirius's letter to Dumbledore.

Dear Dumbledore,
I hope you're doing well.
I know that you probably think that I am the Potter's Secret Keeper, but I want to explain.
I'm not the Secret Keeper. I assured Lily and James that I would've been too easy of a guess, and made them choose Peter (Peter Pettigrew, you remember him from Hogwarts, right?) at the last second as their Keeper.
So yes, I hope they'll be safe. I just want to let you know in case the Death Eaters come to torture and kill me, and you'll start to worry that the Fidaleus Charm broke.
