Third person's pov

It was past midnight. Moon was glowing brighter than usual. Its light was bleeding through the tree branches and ends on the ground. The only rustling sound of feet can be heard. Guards were patrolling on the southern wall. Behind them, a large gigantic wall can be seen which may be more than Twenty-six feet. Wall was very lengthy too, that one cannot see its end properly. A person will take at least two and a half days to meet the wall's end from starting. Guards immersed themselves in active patrol. Some are riding the stallions.

Out of nowhere, they heard a grunt. Suddenly the guards snapped their heads into the deep of the dark forest. Since they are on active patrol the guards were well aware of their surroundings and are well prepared for whatever they have to face. They could catch the strange Scents of pheromones. And that's it. Rogue wolves. The stallions neighed and the guards could smell the emotions of the intruders. It was threatening. The men didn't think twice to take their swords from the scabbard which embraced their waist. They won't shift to their wolf forms unless it is murderous. They charged them. At the same time, the rogues did the same. The wolves were massive and scary. It seems like the creatures were fully ready to tear their flesh apart. They began to fight. Some of the skilled men could effortlessly defeat the other. But some blood-lusted wolves were ripping a few guards arms, legs even heads. The wolves were few compared to the men. So three or four men were fighting with one wolf. The fight was getting out of hand.

"Mind link our commander immediately"the general of the guards screamed to someone beside him. They were fighting for almost one hour. other male nodded vigorously. He could see that his general was handling three wolves at a time. So it's hard for him to mind link at this situation.

"Also men. Shift. Now." His words were enough for the men to shift into massive wolves.

'Commander, Gaurd from the southern wall is reporting, we are in serious trouble. Rouge wolves are here. They attacked half of our men and still fighting. We are fighting for more than one hour. But things are getting out of control. Could you -" the younger guard's voice was cut off by the other side.

'I'm on my way. Hold on. An angelic yet intimidating voice said through the mind link and cut off.

Guards are doing their best to hold on. The rogues were surprisingly stronger than them. Nonetheless, they fight. They could taste the metallic taste of their blood which was coming out of their mouth. Some of the guards which were in their wolf form are lying on the ground covered with the red fluid. They may or may not die. But seeing them limbless and blood gushing out of the wounds, there is a high chance for that too.

Minutes passed like hours. Only a few rouges and guards left. They were exhausted like hell, but rouges were still energetic and ready to tear their head apart from their body. One of the rogues charged the younger guard. The poor wolf fell backward whimpering. Immediately Closed his eyes to face his death. But he didn't feel anything. Slowly he opened his eyes and saw the rouge wolf was still hovering over him, but something was pierced through its heart. The rogue's blood was dripping through the object to the younger wolf's face which was under it.  It was a dagger. Suddenly the rogue's lifeless body was laying beside him. The young wolf looks in front of him. He can see a silhouette who has an iron grip on the dagger. The moon was glowing brighter behind him, it was ethereal and breathtaking. Sensing this the other four rouges charged to the man who has the dagger. He was not scared, not at all tensed. His existence screamed confidence and power. In a swift motion, he swing it and a rouge's head was rolling on the ground. Not even caring for others' tensed faces he pierced the ivory metal through the second rouge's body. The other two jumped over him and were about to bite. But there was a knife in his pants which go unnoticed by the wolves. In a blink of an eye, he ripped its limp from its body and attacked it. The last one succeeded to make a scratch on his thigh but soon met with choking blood. The dagger had already pierced through its heart.
