Chapter 1

"Bye Franny."I waved my co-worker goodbye as I exited the store.

I found my self working at an Armani store some 6months ago and the experience has been ...let's just say overwhelming.My co-workers and my boss especially have been so nice to me since I started working there.It's nice to see billionaires walk into the store every single day to purchase things. Every single person that I've seen enter here just exuded confidence and authority.We'll I don't blame them.Who wouldn't feel confident with so much money.

My shift today ended earlier today because I was feeling a bit unwell because you know...it was that time of the month.

I ordered an Uber to come pick me up and it arrived in less than 5minutes.After an excruciatingly painful ride I finally got home.Luckily for me Abiona was there .

I opened the door and got in.
"Car, what's wrong?"She asked "Why are you home early?"

"Apparently ,Mr.leaky decided to deliver the package...AGAIN this month."

"Aww."she pouted giving me a hug."Why don't you go to your room,take a shower and I'll bring you something to eat."

I nodded as I went to my room to do as she said.I took a shower and got into bed .Soon after Abi entered with my heating pad and put it on my lower abdomen.

"I'll go get your food okay."she said.

She came back again after a few minutes with a bowl of hot soup.

"Here .Take this .You said you wanted something light so I brought you my world famous noodle soup."she smiled as she sat beside me on the bed.

"Mmm.Delicious."I took a sip of the soup and smiled toothily at her.

"Was a sarcastic mmm or was it a real one?"

"Of course it was a real one .You know I love it when you cook .Especially your Nigerian dishes ."

"Yeah yeah right"she playfully rolled her eyes and got up"Eat up quick so you can sleep.okay?"

I nodded as she left my room.I finished up the meal and retired to bed.

I woke up the morning feeling a lot better than I did the previous day.
I brushed my teeth and took my bath,put on a cute pair of black jeans ,a nice plain top and a pair of light blue Jordan 1s.

I grabbed my purse from the rack and went out the door.

"Abi .I don't think I'll be able to eat breakfast at home because I'm running a little late ." I told Abiola as I walked into the kitchen.

"It's okay .Just make sure you're home early for our girls' night out.."

"Okay sure I'll be here in time"I smiled as I walked towards the door "Bye.Love you"

I got to work after about 20minutes.

"Good morning,Laila."I greeted my boss once I entered the store.

"Good morning,Carmen."she pulled me in for a hug."How are you doing today?"

"I'm good and how are you too?"

"Well I'm alright.Thanks for asking.I'm going to be in my office .Just let me know if you need anything alright?"

I nodded and smiled.

I put my bag down and got to work.

After about 3 or 4 hours,another customer entered the store.We'll,this customer was very very handsome.When I say 'very very handsome' ,don't think I'm overreacting because I'm dead serious.

From his curly brown hair to his perfectly-shaped eyebrows to his nose and plush looking lips to his jawline to the suit that clad his bodyyyy.I could just stare at him all day.

Franny's slight nudge brought me out of my daydream.

"Go attend to him."She whispered to me.

I walked briskly towards the fine gentleman .

"H-hello. Welcome ."I let out ."How may I be of service to you today?"

I smiled so hard ,I felt my cheeks hurt.

He looked at me from head to toe before answering "I need a suit ."

"Oh okay.Do you have a colour in mind ?"

He just stared at me.

Okay.Rudeee.

"Okayyyy.Well I can show you some of our suit so you can pick what you like ."

He continued to stare at me .He looked unimpressed.

"Please follow me ."I led the way to where are suits were.

"Here are some of our finest suits ."I pointed to suits we had available.

He began to look through the suits .After a few seconds ,he pulled one out .It was a simple navy blue Armani suit .

"Ooo.That one won't be bad at all."I smiled.

He looked at me .Once again looking unimpressed.

"Sorry "I whispered looking away.I think I just need to shut up.

"We'll if you ask me .I'd say you should go for this charcoal grey one . It would look perfect on you."I pointed to another suit.

Girl shut uppp.

Once again,his eyes were on me .His gaze was like fire .

He put down the navy blue one and picked up the three-piece ,charcoal grey suit and walked towards the changing room .

I wish I could go with him.
Girllll.

I waited for him to try it out and after 10 minutes he was back with the suit in hand.

"I'll take it."He handed it to me and I put it in a bag.

He handed me his credit card and just like that he bought the suit I'd picked out.

I suddenly felt so warm and fuzzy inside.

"I'm homeee."I sorta yelled as I opened the door.

"Abi?"
"KITCHEN"she yelled in response .

"Well well well .What is that I smell?"I asked taking a huge whiff of the smell that engulfed the kitchen.

"I'm making pizza .

"Yay.I think I'm already liking this idea or a girls' night."

She smiled

"So ,will you tell me who you invited?"

"Um well...I invited Patrice and um...Lara."

My eyes went wide.

"Lara?You mean my sister?"

She nodded

"You mean the sister that betrayed me?"I was now yelling because of how furious I was.

Well this night just took a downward spiral.
