The audience sat in their respectuve seats, stunned at what they witnessed. Some snapped out of their stupor. One of which was Ch'en.
She glances back at mural as if to want to relive the encounter, to gather more clues in the near lifelike and front row view of an experience. Only to find the mural now absent, devoid of any image.
Clicking her tongue in annoyance she glances back to some of the operators she recognized having participated the ordeal.
Not missing a beat she strode towards the white horned devil. Some could consider this person a literal light in the dark given her natural aura is shimmering a gold hue.
"My name is Ch'en, chief of the special inspection unit in the L.G.D., I need to know
what happened after.", her tone direct and professional. The glowing devil just smiled and hummed, before giggling in increased frequency.
"Hahaha, I apologize. I was just reminded of how he grasped what was nearby, which just so happens to be the tail of who you know as Operator Nearl."
Several of the audience didn't get closer to the conversation but they kept listening both in curiosity and in anticipation to know what happened after. One of which was Nearl who was thankful her friend deviated from explaining the embarrasing phenomena that she would like to forget, she actually didn't mind him pulling it. She was angry on why it didn't bother her all that much.
"Well for starters, his home back in Ursus
was....well, Nearl cover Liz's ears. Forgive me for my crass language but it was absolute shit."
The stares from the operators from RI were wide. Even Kal'tsit and Mon3tr raised a brow.
The questionable glare Nightingale gave to both her sisters would bore into them like a needle.
"Although he seems to keep talking about earning and making a living, he's been shown to be a good and a terrible liar.", a hearty chuckle came out from the usually reserved swordswoman turned healer.
"I offered him a choice to join us in Rhodes Island. He accepted without much fanfare, he was surprised at the offer but he was profressional just like you, if a bit dense."
"Never would I be evermore thankful to have made that choice. Treated little Liz from her comatose state and I dare say practically brought her back up to code on his own."
The sincerity and honesty baffled the Lung. The operators of RI seem agape, even the most recluse of operators such as Skadi and Snow seem to perk up in listening to their conversation.
"He'd deny it vehemently of course, I can already hear him saying that me and Nearl did most of the work. It was the first time I was fine being on the sidelines, seeing Liz free from her condition let me feel at ease whenever he's around. We never told it directly but we treat each other like old friends, I'm sent outside the landship alongside Nearl to do most of our jobs so
we never always had the time to share a drink."
She bellowed a laugh that slowly died after a few seconds.
"He didn't stop there either, he kept caring for Liz and he seemed to have adopted the care of another patient. A little firecracker if I remember with an owl always at her side, I often remember an extra person she used to despise finally joining that little one and turning her into a bubbling ray of joy. I can never repay him fully for the kindness he gave. But if given the choice in keeping my code or drawing my sword at his bequest."
