______________________Writer could only stop herself from giggling outloud as she hears the traffic jam the audience made for themselves when they tried to get into "The Lobby".
She turns her head from the source of her amusement to the source of her affection.
"Dear, I know we're here to tell the truth but we did lie to them about one tiny thing."
"Finally catched up to the class?"
Writer's rare stern gaze shut Speaker's mouth and kept him silent, obedient. He was wrapped around her finger and he let it happen.
"We told them that we were made from whatever remained of the memories of little reader.", Writer clarified.
"Moment I opened my eyes I knew something was wrong, then I get to see you again and I knew it ain't all that bad.", Speaker stares at his wrist out of habit before dropping it to his side.
"We planned on taking a first class ticket down to meet Luci. We both know what we know, dear.", Writer's gaze solemn as she remembers that moment clearly.
Still and unmoving with their hands intertwined with each other. Mouths foaming at the brink, half lidded, and lifeless eyes. Two of their precious belongings sat at the table infront of them. A pen in near perfectly maintained condition and a wristwatch that's seen wear and tear only to still have its shine still gleam. Two envelopes, letters, one for their friends in that life and one for their son in the next.
Speaker could only repeat her words in response.
"We both know what we know."
-----
Liz felt herself almost regress. What she witnessed was deja vu to her. Revelation unto the gaps in her mind as she reflects on each moment she had with Ye. Each concealed smile, disregard of his own well being, and unwavering stubbornness.
He was always on a timer.
Knowing now his struggles only make herself even more thankful and worried to him. She had the chance to meet him and he cured her. She understood why he helped her.
He didn't want others to experience what he did.
A chill ran up Liz's spine as she realizes the aftermath of his own personal crusade against death. Her head thrumming in pain as she loses sight of the room around her only to see something that will haunt her.
Ye laying down behind a wall, bloodied and bruised. His iconic jacket riddled with holes and open cuts. A black gun nothing more than shattered pieces. The two blades he keeps on his person now imbedded in his torso like a divine comedy. His right arm missing, the stump covered by a layer of frost. On his left hand would be the gifts she and sister Shining made for him. Liz could see two teens walking slowly to him, openly weeping.
She sees Ye give the girl the black talisman and guides her hand to the black Jian-like sword on his person. The boy's hands are gripped by the dying figure, given a white talisman and guides his hand to Maple, he called it.
The Talismans. The energy still present, seem to transfer into the teens as they held it tight close to them, in tandem as they began pulling out the blades. The arts inside seeming to bloom in each of them. The teenage girl's figure crackled with black lightning, her hair visibly chaning to match, and her eyes gaining a sudden red hue while gaining an aura that is similar to sister Shining. The boy's figure seem to swirl with a sudden gust of frozen winds, freezing to the touch as his hair seem to whiten and his eye color dampen to a pale blue, it might be the ache in her eyes but time seemed to slow in equal measure as
the temperature. His body creating an aura around him that seems to break away the snow he makes.
When the swords finally left his body, he was gone. A smile on his face, relief as the last people he helped would live a longer life than himself. Giving them tools that would protect them from the horrors of the world.
No horror was worse than seeing your loved ones die infront of you.
She can feel herself screaming, to her relief she feels the premonition fade as her vision finally returns to her. To her shock, the same kids from the vision were only a fair bit younger were hugging her at both sides. Liz can only yelp in surprise as Shining hugged her in tandem with a vice grip thankfully sparing the kids.
She can feel Shining's soothing hand linger on her hair. Liz could only accept the Confessor's offer and began to cry on her shoulders.
No one could lie forever.
