An hour had passed, during which the couple had told the teenagers about their misadventure, and Farah about Rosalind's attempted murder in the forest. Ben's children, meanwhile, had informed them of what had happened at Alfea in their absence, nothing of much interest apart from the sudden disappearance of the mind fairy's rival. But now it was the latter's injury that was worrying the two earth fairies more than anything else.
"Tomorrow after school, we're going to the woods with Bloom and the girls, we have no time to lose," Terra said in a determined tone. "It's better not to miss school or we'll draw attention to ourselves."
"You're very brave, Terra, but are you sure you want to risk your life for me?" the patient asked, pale.
The girl nodded and smiled.
"Yes, we have to save you, we want you alive."
"And we can trust Bloom, she will defeat the Burned One," her brother added confidently. "I forgot to tell you: we'll quickly get some clean clothes from your suite, Miss Dowling, so you can make yourself comfortable."
"We thank you, children, you are admirable," their dad congratulated them proudly.
The two students ended the conversation and left the two lovers alone in the suite.
The latters took a well-deserved shower, and Ben helped his companion to wash herself, using gentle, sensual strokes on her skin, avoiding touching the sore wound.
Farah emerged from the shower clean and relaxed, still shivering as she remembered the hands of the one she loved on her body. She loved feeling that invigorating touch so much that she was sure she couldn't live without him.

While he was preparing dinner in his kitchenette, she couldn't help but get up to join him, even though she wasn't at her best.
She clung to his back, hugging him and running her lips down his shirt."What are you cooking, love?" she interrogated, trying to guess the scents coming from the oven.
"Mac and cheese with fresh vegetables for starters," he answered, placing his hand on hers, which was gently caressing his belly. "You should rest, sweetheart, you'll only make it worse."
He had used a reproachful tone, but Farah knew that he was very anxious since he had noticed the wound. She reassured him in a soft voice and moved her hands up to his shoulders and neck:
"I'm feeling pretty good right now, the pain is bearable, and I'm not burning...but I might be tonight."
He turned and brushed her cheek with his fingertips.
"Farah, be sensible, during the night it's better for you to sleep instead of cuddling and exhausting yourself," he replied, very annoyed. "I don't want to take advantage of your weakened state, and if it were to deteriorate because of me, I would never forgive myself."
She placed a kiss on her partner's hand before interlacing her fingers with his.
"You're not taking advantage of me, Ben, and I may be dead tomorrow, or in the next few days," she muttered sadly. "That will most likely be the only chance to love each other."
The earth fairy began to tremble very suddenly. He knew that if his children and their friends failed, the death of his beloved would be undeniable and would break his heart in a way that it had never been.
Instead of answering with words, he hugged her, kissing every inch of her face with emotion, as if to soak up her skin, her smell.
He soon took the dish out of the oven and prepared their plates on a tray before taking it to the bed, on which they lay in their nightwear.
