prologue ; "Death!"

Niall's content whistle could be heard from down the hall as Liam drowsily stumbled through it. With his face in somewhat of a permanent scowl, he poked his roommates shoulder, repeatedly.

"Why the hell are you so happy?" LIam asked, his voice coming out tiredly as he reached up and scratched lazily at his stomach.

"I made a flier to get you a new roommate! I swear, its the best thing I've ever made in my life." Niall replied excitedly. "Here, look!" He shoved his laptop into Liam's chest.

Liam skimmed through the document, rolling his eyes at everything it said. [A/N; The picture on the side is the flier, address and phone are fake, obv.]

"You're so over dramatic, Ni." Liam mumbled as he rolled his eyes.

Niall pouted slightly, adding a fake sniffle as he spoke, "I am not, its all true! You piece of shit." mumbling the last part. "C'mon, you need a new roommate."

"Yea, I know, but I dont exactly feel comfortable with the idea of people just stopping by, yenno?"

"What's the worst that could happen?"

"Death!"

"Now who's being over dramatic..."

Liam rolled his eyes once again before heading to the small kitchen. He opened the fridge, scanning the items before opting for simple bowl of Coco Pebbles. He poured the cereal and milk into the small, blue bowl that he got out of one of the pantries before sitting at the miniature island in the middle of the kitchen.

As he ate, he thought about all the types of people that could possibly show up to be his new roommate. What if he was right? What if they did try to kill him. Or worse, what if they preferred DC over Marvel?

Louis hummed softly as his two friends chatted excitedly behind him about the movie they just saw. He hadnt taken much interest in the movie, well, not as much as Harry and Zayn. [A/U: dont kill me, I didnt know who else to put :( ]

As the three walked down the sidewalk, Louis' attention was focused on a blonde boy seeming to be struggling with one of those giant staplers. He walked up to the stranger, tapping him lightly on the shoulder and speaking in a small voice.

"Excuse me, sir. Do you need any help?" he asked politely, with a small friendly smile on his soft features. The blonde looked over at him, nodding his head.

"Can you just hold this up for me? The damn thing won't stay still."

Louis giggled silently before holding it up for him, waiting patiently as the blonde finally stapled the flier up. As he waited, he read the flier carefully, letting out another soft giggle.

"You need a roommate?" He asked timidly.

"Oh, no. It's for my roommate. I'm moving out. You interested?"

"Possibly."

"Well, just stop by. I promise he's a great guy." The blonde smiled once more before skipping off into the distance. Louis furrowed his eyebrows slightly before shaking his head and laughing softly as he walked back to his friends.

Having noticed his absence, his friends asked a million questions about the cute blonde. He simply shrugged, not having learned his name.
