*Fionna's POV*
I walked into my treehouse with a big grin on my face. That was actually a lot more fun then I'd imagined. Except, you know, Gumball getting all touchy-feely-ish with me. I'm surprised Marshall reacted the way he did. I figure he'd just tell him to stop, not shove him against a wall and almost suck the red from him.
Does he like me too?
"FIONNA! WHere have you been, girl?" Cake yelled, snapping me from my thoughts.
"I was at Prince Gumball's party," I replied.
"What happened to Marshall Lee?"
"He was there too, Cake. Don't worry about it." I walked to my room and got ready to go to bed. I took my hat off, letting my long blonde hair fall down my back. Cake followed me.
"Do you know what would happen if you went out with the Vampire King?" She asked me. "You would be in serious danger!"
"Marshall wouldn't hurt me. Besides, it doesn't matter because he's totally not into me." I said. At least I don't think so, I thought.
"Puh-LEASE, girl. I saw that little hug-thing outside the window. He was looking at you like Gumball does," Cake said.
"YOU SPIED ON ME?" I yelled. "Besides there was no thing. I just gave him a hug. NOT a big deal, Cake."
"Whatever you say, Fi. Nighty-night!" She crawled up into bed with me and we fell asleep.
*Marshall Lee's POV*
After leaving Fiona's house, I had this unusual feeling of happiness, joy almost. Not that I'm never happy, but usually things like killing and scaring people bring me such feelings. I sighed. Do I like Fionna? A human? A mortal? Would I put her at risk if we went out? I shook my head. I didn't know what to think or how to feel- mainly because I've never really had a serious relationship.
I could always make Fionna immortal if I so desired, I thought. I laughed at myself. But then I realized that it was a possibility.
What am I saying? It's not like we're deeply in love anyways. I decided to get my mind off things and go back to Gumwad's kingdom.
It was a short trip there, and I found Gumwad in his kitchen making cream puffs. I swear he is such a girl sometimes.
I tapped on the window then quickly hid from view.
"Who's there?" I heard him yell. I laughed quietly and let myself in. "Oh hello Marshall Lee."
"Hey, Gumwad," I replied, sucking the red from a cream puff.
"It's Gumball," he said. "And don't eat those! Those aren't for you."
I laughed, "Then who are they for? Fionna?" I could tell he was getting frustrated because his hands were clenched into fists at his sides. That just made it a lot more enjoyable.
"So what if they are?" He replied. "You ruined the moment for us at the party, anyways."
I howled with laughter. "There wasn't a 'moment' there Gumball," it felt weird saying his real name, "She was so uncomfortable when you touched her it was almost painful for me to watch! I did you a favor."
"She'll never love you, Marshall Lee," he said. Oh hell no. Again, I pushed him to the wall.
"You don't know that. Fionna is capable of loving someone like me. I'll be damned if she went out with you and not me, but I'm already dead so..." I said to him.
"Then may the best man win," he gasped for air. I let him go and he reached his hand toward me.
"Says the man in pink," I said. I shook his hand and left.
