**Fionna's POV**
About twenty minutes went by and the boys finally gave up on looking for me. But this is the information I got from their conversation:
1. Gumball and Marshall DID date at some point in time.
2. Gumball broke up with Marshall because of some royal junk and he couldn't 'deal with a relationship' which Marshall said was 'bullshit'
3. Marshall had taken years to get over his boyfriend (this is so hard to talk about oh my Glob) but had gotten over him just around the time I was found by Cake's parents. He had never seen me before but he said he 'felt like something more important' was coming along for him.
After this conversation, Gumball and Marshall were both very upset and angry with each other. About fact #3, I'm not usually one to believe in fate. But how weird is it that Marshall Lee moved on around the exact time I was born?! I don't know, maybe I'm nuts. I saw Cake in the garden saying goodnight to Lord Monochromicorn. I went to her and we went to the treehouse.
Author's Note: SORRY ITS SO SHORT! I don't really have that much time to update right now BUT I am off on Spring Break all week so hopefully I can get a few more chappys up. This chapter was really just so y'all had some more insight into Gumball's and Marshall Lee's past relationship before Fionna came into play. If it came as a shock to you that I made them used-to-be-gay, I based it off the AT fandom's reaction to the Finn and Jake episode "What Was Missing?" when Princess Bubblegum has a t-shirt that Marceline gave her in the past and says its "very important" to her, causing Marceline to blush. Fans took to the internet and thus the relationship "Bubbline" was born, suggesting that Marcy and PB had some sort of past romantic relationship.
