Talana: "So, what do you want to eat tonight?"

Y/N: "Hmm, I don't know. Oh, I have an idea of what we could eat for dinner."

Talana: "What is it?"

Y/N: "It's a human dish but I think you will love it. It's potato soup. All you need is strips of bacon, butter, milk, onions, garlic gloves, flour, potatoes, chicken broth, heavy cream, salt, pepper, sour cream, and cheddar cheese. Trust me, I think you'll like it."

Talana: "Sounds wonderful, I'll notify the chiefs to start preparing the meal."

It was getting dark outside and the kingdom lights started to flare. The streets were still full of many anthros and dragons walking around different shops or simply walking home. Sometimes there would be small events such as plays, games, etc.

Though none of that was relevant to you as you were planning to have a special dinner with your family. While the chiefs were preparing potato soup, you spent your time in the royal library reading different things such as history, plays, poems, spells, magic, and all other things that interested you. Mostly magic and spells but you had a hard time reading those books because it was written in draconic language that your human tongue couldn't pronounce. Even though you went to school to learn about this stuff, a human couldn't speak dragon language, as it is too complex.

No one was around so you were able to get some peace. Your sisters were busy doing their duties but knowing Rya, and how protective she is of you. She had the entrances guarded.

Assassin's POV

It didn't take long for Queen Talana and King Ryuga to respond to Queen Tanya's recommendation for us to have a position in the Royal Palace as guards. We were hoping we would be accepted otherwise we would have to come up with another way of killing the human.

Queen Tanya: "Congratulations girls they accepted you. They will send a carriage to transport you two but you will have to undergo some training they will provide you. It shouldn't be too hard since you got accepted but try not to rouse any suspicion."

Assassin's: "Yes your majesty."

Queen Tanya: "Good, now get going."

The queen dismissed us and we walked towards the place where the carriage would pick us up. It was probably easy for Queen Tanya to lie on our application for her recommendation because we are one of the most reputable assassins but she kept our privacy and true identity hidden. Plus we like to work in the shadows and kill from afar so people couldn't figure out who we are plus we like to wear the skulls of our victims for extra protection. I doubt we can wear a human skull though.

It didn't take long for the carriage to pick us up. In the inner ward, we stood together as the carriage rolled up to us. It certainly was one we didn't expect to look like.
