EU woke up abruptly, her alarm waking her up early into the morning. She sighed heavily and held her head in frustration, turning her alarm off. She had absolutely no motivation to go to work today, or to even get out of her bed. She hadn't been doing well mentally lately, work was stressing her too much and today there was an extremely important meeting that her and UN had to host.. She didn't even memorize what she had to talk about over the weekend.

She had multiple texts and missed calls from UN, probably because she wanted to arrange for them both to meet up and memorize the themes and topics today together, but EU just wanted to stay in bed.. She couldn't handle another minute being with other people at the moment. Her period was late, she was having constant mood swings and frequent depressive episodes all in one month. She felt as though everyone was against her, the world, UN, everything. She just wanted to sleep. She just wanted to have one relaxing day for once, but she couldn't even relax to sleep.. It was difficult.

EU got up, the meeting was at 9 am.. Right now it was 6:42 am, so she still had time to get to the building in time and still practice with UN. She went to her closet and got an assortment of clothes, throwing it onto her bed, she quickly went in front of the mirror and picked a nice outfit to go to work in. She simply glared at herself in the reflection, being able to point out every single insecurity of herself. She rubbed her eyes and took a deep breath, going over to her desk to grab all of her paper work and putting it into her suitcase. She rushed to her car and started driving to work, arriving at exactly 7:15 am. She got out of her car and locked it, immediately running into the corridors of the building and making her way to UN's office.

UN is always in her office even before EU.. it was quite impressive just how hard-working and determined UN was - EU sometimes wishes she could be like her. She knocked on her door and entered once she heard the familiar voice beckoning her to come in. UN looked up to see EU and smiled softly.

"EU! You're here relatively early.."

"Yeah, I wanted to rehearse today's meeting's uh.. topics"

UN nodded and got up, sitting on her desk in front of EU, almost exerting an authority that couldn't be shaken. She always had her composure, she was well-maintained and always looked great - EU was the exact opposite, very messy and unorganized with an unstable mood that everyone had started to notice by now.

Both women stayed in that office and simply went over all the important documents and what they were going to discuss in the meeting. UN did try to talk to EU about how she was and if she wanted to have a relaxing night with her at a restaurant but EU refused immediately, seeming more focused on the meeting than her own sanity. UN sighed softly as she started to her the first few countries starting to enter the building and heading for the main room - where they had all of their meeting, of course.

EU took a deep breath, she had never felt this nervous before for a meeting. UN noticed and pat her shoulder in a comforting way. "You'll do fine EU, I promise"

That promise would be broken pretty soon.

They both got out of the office and also started heading for the main room, going directly to their podiums. UN simply had one sheet of paper on her podium and was playing around with her microphone to see if it was on the correct settings, while EU had multiple scattered papers on her podium and didn't even bother with her microphone.
