Meet Beetle! I really love her design agdgjfsdhgd-

Although I struggled with her name, I managed to come up with a sort-of concept for her: she's possessed

Although I struggled with her name, I managed to come up with a sort-of concept for her: she's possessed. The five loops on her tail bind her to sanity- each representing a trait that would qualify as normal, making it so she's tucked into the background and indistinguishable. However, when she interacts with magic, the loops unbind. The majority of the time this leads to the image above- her possessor taking over and absorbing any and all magic it can.

Based on the amount of magic, only certain rings will unbind- I have no clue of what I will do for what each loop represents yet

At one point she is freed from her possessed soul, but since she never really had a personality before, she sat in the tallest tree she could find and waited for the thing that haunted her to come back

With this drawing here I'm gonna be honest- I just wanted to draw a snake but I can't draw snakes so I drew an older Beetle-snake

With this drawing here I'm gonna be honest- I just wanted to draw a snake but I can't draw snakes so I drew an older Beetle-snake. So lemme just uh- come up with something.

Maybe as she got older, she completely merged with the demon or whatever was haunting her. The loops had lost their enchantment, but Beetle was still new to her existing conscience. The life that had since then died off which controlled her left an essence, and that's the one she followed. So basically she inherits the power and life force of the puppeteer, and is still figuring out where to go since her only driving force was being a husk for something else.

I'm thinking of making her my new sona cause uh- the current Willowheart is being used for an ongoing storyline. I guess she'll be a temporary one until I figure that out, but I love how easy her design is to draw and for convenience one of the things she does is be of infinite length- so I never have to draw her length correctly and only the proportions and features. The spikes along her spine are also retractable and react with emotion, but since she's still figuring it out that's how her spikes have always been.
