Sheeka smiled nervously as she stepped up to the desk, the restaurant filled with sounds of cooking from the nearby kitchen and the chatting from the other people dining in. "Afternoon ma'am, may I see your reservation?" The lady behind the desk asked as Sheeka turned to her and nodded scrambling for her phone, after a few taps at the screen, she turned it to the lady who typed a few things in before smiling. "You are with Mr Jones? This way please" she said as she stood up, grabbing a menu and leading Sheeka into the dining area. Sheeka wore a nice, red wine dress with a pair of black heals on and some perfume to make her stand out.
As the lady stopped and put down two menus onto the table, Sheeka smiled and took her seat. Nic hadn't arrived yet, but no surprise since Sheeka showed up early like she always did, though, this was her first date, her heart was beating with each second and her hands gripping her purse tightly. After calming down a bit, she picked up the menu and began looking over it, seeing that the restaurant was clearly not cheap, serving lobster, gold infused steak and aged wines. As she was looking over the menu, she suddenly heard someone clear their throat, quickly looking up, she saw a tall, slim raccoon stand in front of her, he wore tight jeans with a button up shirt that had a jacket over top. "You are Sheeka? It's so nice to finally meet you, you look absolutely stunning tonight" he said softly as he hung his jacket over his seat and sat down. Sheeka could already feel the blush under her cheeks, smiling happily as her tail flicked around "oh, thank you, you look amazing too" Sheeka said softly as she fixed herself up. Looking over him, she could see he wasn't completely skinny, he definitely had some nice tone to him, his fur looking well groomed and his smile bright and welcoming. Nic did the same, though he had to stop his jaw from dropping as he looked over her, her beautiful busty chest standing out the most, but he also noticed the shine in her emerald eyes and her fluffy ears. "I hope the drive here wasn't to bad" Sheeka spoke up, trying to get a conversation going as she noticed his eye contact, the way he looked at her just felt soft. "Eh, it was alright, someone cut me off exiting the highway, but otherwise a good drive, and I hope the same for you?" He asked as he looked at the table, in the middle it had a candle that smelt of honey and a knife and fork on the right of both of them neatly wrapped up. "It was alright, it's pretty chilli outside, wish I brought my coat" she said with a soft giggle, Nic nodded with a chuckle "yeah, but nothing beats a cool night at a place like this.. with a girl like you" Nic teased as he gave a small smirk seeing Sheeka blush "but shall we order? I don't want to take up our time together with silly flirting" he said warmly as he began to look over the menu. "And if you have any questions for me, I'd be happy to answer them" Nic added happily. Sheeka gave a nod as her eyes skipped over the menu again. "Well.. when we where talking online, you mentioned that you smoke.. cannabis.. and I have no problem with that, it's legal and all but umm.. just, how often?" Sheeka asked with a small bit of nervousness in her voice, it was fairly clear to Nic she wasn't really the open type, but he could live with that. "Well, I started when I was about, hmmm, 17? Around that, when I first started, I smoked way more than I should have, but now I smoke probably about.. 4 times a week? Sometimes more" he said shrugging a bit. Sheeka nodded to him, thinking again as she looked over the menu one last time before putting it down. "Ok, ok.. And what about your past partners? What where they like? What do you look for in a girl?" She asked as she couldn't help but stair at his eyes as they looked over the menu. "Well, I've dated a few times, my last girlfriend was about four months ago and we broke up because she cheated.." Nic said with a decreasing volume and a small bit of silence "But, it doesn't bother me, she wasn't the best type of person anyway, always getting in trouble and stuff. But what I look for? If you asked me when I was younger I would have said sone hot chick" he said with a chuckle "but thankfully I'm more mature and I'm looking to settle down, so I'm looking for someone caring, smart, understanding and beautiful, so far, you've ticked off all my boxes" he said warmly. Sheeka gasped a bit and blushed "thank you Nic" she said shyly as Nic put his menu down "and I think it's nice that you are more mature and you're able to see that" Sheeka said happily with Nic smiling again.
Just then, the waitress came over with a small note pad and looked at them both "are we ready to order?" She asked, a tall, curving and very pretty gal who any guy would ogle over. Nic nodded "yes, can I just get a JD and coke and the seafood basket?" He asked softly. "Yep, and for the lady?" She asked turning to Sheeka "oh, could I just get a class of the five year wine and the rainforest salad please?" Sheeka asked before the lady wrote some things down and nodded "sure thing, your food will be with you shortly" She said as she turned and walked away. Sheeka looked at Nic's eyes to see if he'd check the waitress out, but surprisingly, he already had his eyes in Sheeka. "Oh sorry, you're eyes are just really beautiful" Nic said averting his face from her with a nervous chuckle like he had been caught. Sheeka giving a soft smile to him.
"Hey, I believe it's your turn to ask me some questions" Sheeka said smiling as her tail continued to flick around, starting to feel more relaxed and slowly getting used to Nic. "Heh, I'm not the best at, but I'll do my best" he said with a soft chuckle "hmm, you said you where in collage right? What are you aiming for?" He asked as their drinks where delivered and they both took a sip "I'm studying to be a nurse and hopefully work in a Cubs hospital, I want to take care of them and make sure they are ok, hope to have a kid of my own one day too" she said in an almost dreamy voice. "That sounds nice, I'm currently working at a meet factory, it sucks working twelve hour shifts, it leave me stressed a lot, but it's good money at least" he said smiling "But I have another question, you said you had never been on a date before, yeah? So why choose me? Just a little curious as to why someone so beautiful wouldn't go for a big guy with a good job" he asked as he smiled warmly as Sheeka seemed stuck trying to answer "umm, I guess I never saw an attraction to people who have it all and are stuck up, and I don't really like beefy guys, toned is good, but too much is too much. And I guess I don't know, you just really caught my eye" Sheeka said with honesty as their eyes locked and a moment of silence, like they where both adoring each others company. Though it didn't last last as the waitress returned and placed down their food "enjoy" was all she said with a smile before making her way off to help others.
As the two picked up their utensils, they both began to eat with a few bits of chatter here and there about their daily lives, things they enjoy and of course more flirting between the two. Before long, both their plates where empty and Sheeka had ended up ordering a JD and coke to loosen herself up a bit more. Though the night was getting late and they eventually ran out of things to say. "I've loved our night more than anything Sheeka, but I think it's time we head out" Nic said as he finished off his drink. Sheeka nodded to him "Mmh, I agree, it is getting rather late" she said as she stood up. Sheeka grabbed her purse and pushed her chair in, Nic doing the same but with his phone and wallet before he walked beside her to the front desk and they checked out, Nic being nice enough and paying for the $146 meal. As they made their way outside, they turned to each other, both smiling nervously now as they had to leave. Nic leaned down and hugged Sheeka, who happily hugged back before they stepped back "well, I'll see you next time I guess" Sheeka said warmly. Nic nodded before sighing "wait, Sheeka. I know it sounds stupid, but.. would you like to come back to my place?" He asked nervously as he rubbed the back of his neck. Sheeka looked up at him before smiling "sure, why not, I don't see the harm" Sheeka said happily "perfect, I'll send you my address and see you their"
