The prince was and will never be mine

These past circumstances have shown
That another's I cannot and wouldn't own
The lass who sent me the image
Of the one who got a beautiful sage

They eat a feast for a while
And then after that, they walked to the isle
It's the day I was waiting for, I'm not gonna lie
For they are the chosen and I'm only an ally

Fo sho, we met before that time
And yes I felt a feeling so sublime
Yet you expressed no interest in me
For I'm just a friend, a king, you see

My knight so noble went to me
Said that "king why are you so gloomy?"
"I thought you're happy? Your comrade is getting some recognition!"
I said I am, not for them, but for the occasion

Surely they didn't notice right?
That I was literally shutting my mouth tight
So that I won't give the people any fright
To make them not think what their king thinks and does might

For that Sage who struck gold
I am hoping for a very warm hand, for you
every night to hold
Take care of the river's spirit with all your power
With the staff, you shall conquer and scour

To the soon to be king of the kingdom so great
If you see this, it means I didn't attend, I wasn't late
Because troublesome is indeed my schedule here
And that's my excuse that was mere

The real reason why I didn't stay is a needle like prick
When you get hit with a long joust stick

This is my  last poem for  my prince, you
And I give to the goblet of oath,
Peira, the guardian of the north
Please, all my memories, may you uphold

I wanted to make more
give you the last one the following week's yonder
Because that's how it is, so kindred
And unlike the past others

A poem, very last of it
Thank you for all those who read my wills and feather in a series
It comes to a close because the candle is lit
The kings live happily ever after, but do I  really mean it?
