Will finally managed to get to his driveway on his bike. He needed somewhere to think about what he was going to do. He looked at the ground, panting, but when he looked up he saw the demogorgon pouncing on Mike.

Suddenly mike and Simon disappeared. They had gone to the upside down. Will had to find him, and quick because he couldn't miss the concert the next day.
Will remembered how he escaped last year- he climbed through the portal in the tree. But what tree?? Hmm
The tree behind his house! Will sneaked around to the back of his house, hoping not to get spotted by Joyce or Jonathan. Eventually he found the tree with the portal in it.
He climbed through, into the dark sliny world of the upside down. He had one job- find Mike. Oh, and avoid Simon. Don't get eaten by your buyers manager.
Will had stupidly forgotten to bring a torch so it was really hard to see. But in the distance he manged to make out castle byers, and he swore he saw something inside it.
Will immediately ran towards it and pulled back the curtain. Mike was sitting there, shivering with a pale face. "Mike!" Will whisper shouted. Mike looked up at him. "Will! What- what is this place? How do we leave? How did you find me?"
"This is where I went missing last year. Sorry I didn't tell you about it. I thought you wouldn't belive me. There's a portal inside a tree where we can escape. I saw the monster pounce on you and you disappeared so I knew you were here."
Will then pulled Mike's arm and tried to bring him out but Mike stopped him. "Wait- sit down for a second?" He asked. "M-mike it's really not sa-"
He was cut off by the feeling of Mike's soft rosy lips against his, in a moment that lasted forever. "Thanks for saving me." smiled Mike when he pulled away. Mike got up and left, but Will froze for a sec as his cheeks turned bright red. Oh my god. His crush/bestfriend just kissed him.
