𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟑.𝟐. 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

A/N: I decided to split it up into 3 parts yay. 

Side note: I had to add some small changes to some of the characters. (like add some parts to their backstory that isn't canon to their character) It's needed for the plot of the story. Hope you guys don't mind. And I also changed Ayame's pro-nouns to she/her/he/him/they/them.

...................Is this a dream...? This has gotta be a dream, right? Kimoyo can't be dead... T-that was has to be a doll somehow, right!?

I tried telling myself over and over again that Kimoyo isn't dead even though his butchered corpse was right in front of my eyes. I didn't want to accept the truth... This is just a doll, right...? But all I was doing was just hurting myself by lying to myself...

".............................What....?" I mumbled.
"..................................Eh...?" Asuka stared at the body.
............."What in the name of...." Sora looked disgusted at the corpse.

*Ding dong ding dong* "A body has bee discovered! Everyone please gather at the Haunted House immediately!" The announcement rang.

"...The body discovery announcement...? S-so that means..." I say.
"...No, this can't be true.......? Please tell me this isn't happening.." Sora looked away from the Kimoyo's corpse.
"..........Urgh...!!" Asuka gagged.
"Blurrrrgh.....!!!" Then Asuka proceeded to throw up, in the corner of the room... It didn't feel like reality. Kimoyo... Or *what was left of him*, lay butchered there on the altar like they were some doll parts waiting to be patched up... They were definitely part of what was once living, to see them this apart made that fact feel so... Distant and far... It truly was a scene from hell..
"...I had a bad feeling ever since the parade. But to think they would dismember his body... The culprit sure has some weird taste... Even in mystery novels things don't usually go this far..." Taiko said, she didn't even looked that fazed by this.
"Please stop joking... Taiko.... urgh..." Sora says.

"I....I'm gonna head out for a minute.." He slowly left ghost house... I can't say I blame him at all..
"T-this is must be a dream... this can't be real... Just a dream... Urgh..." Asuka cried.
"...W-what should we do...?" I said as I stared blankly at the floor..
"What do you mean what should we do? It's a murder. We need to prepare for the class trial." Taiko answered.
"Everyone will be here soon from the announcement. Let's keep an eye on the crime scene until then." Taiko tells Asuka and I.
"I c-c-c-can't... I just fucking can't!.... This is too... Much..." Asuka said.
"Urgh.... I think I'm gonna be- Blergh..." They started to run to the bathroom.
"A-aren't you startled at all, Taiko...? H-how can you stay calm... When you're looking at..... This..." I ask her, as I turned my head to her. Surprised at how she's not disgusted or throwing up by this.

"Well, I was surprised... I guess you could say that. The culprit this time... Is definitely no joke. Haha." Taiko's faint smile amidst this horrifying scene... Coupled with her comments she just made sent shivers down my spine... Before I knew it, Ayame and Kazuko came in.
"....What's going on!? What's with the blood outside... This isn't what I think it is, right?" Ayame entered the altar.
".....................................................Oh..." They looked terrified at the scene...
"Ahhh!!" he screamed, after looking at the body.. Kazuko came rushing in afterwards.
"What...? No, Kimoyo!" He yelled out. After a few minutes that felt like forever, everyone else entered the altar, just like Taiko said. 

Ayame and Kazuko, who were searching for Kimoyo quite near the Haunted House, arrived first. And it seems like Ayame also thought of this place once she saw Kimoyo's message and was heading this way to begin with. Karou soon followed after... Then came Reiki with a worried face, and Ryota and Aika, who seemed placid as always. Haru came last. He barely had the strength to keep standing, and looked like his legs was ready to give out at any moment... And he fell to his knees as soon as he saw the scene..
