Heroes of Olympus One Shots

Hey guys so I've set a personal goal for a chapter to be published every two weeks or sooner. So I'm going to try and keep that goal. But here's Lazel which is Leo and Hazel.

In this one it's more of a friendly ship. I tried writing it as they were dating but I failed so I wrote it as friends.

Leo's POV:

As I steer the Argo II, I look at the night sky as the rest of the seven go to their cabins. The chance of being alone I think of Calypso. I need to find a way back to her island.

An oath to keep with a final breath.
I knew somehow that had to do with the oath I took about going back to Calypso, I just didn't know how.

Someone's hand on my shoulder takes me from my thoughts as I turn to see Golden eyes looking at me worriedly. "Leo how come you're still up here?" Hazel asks and I sigh. "Sorting out thoughts."

"How come you're up here?" I ask and she shrugs. "Couldn't sleep. What thoughts are you sorting out?"

"Things about when I was marooned." Or a certain Sunshine. But Hazel or the seven don't know about her so what can I say? Hazel narrows her eyes in concentration. "What happened? You've changed." I almost snort because of course I've changed, how could I not? But I don't reply as I keep steering.

"Leo, you can tell me." I make the mistake of looking at her and see her eyes pleading me. Sighing I tell her. "Khione threw me to Calypso's island. Ogygia." Hazel looks like she wants to interject but doesn't.

"She's the daughter of the Titan Atlas. She had helped him in a war and as punishment was stuck on the island. Only every once in a while the gods send her heroes that she'd fall in love with and then they'd have to leave."

I pause to let Hazel take that in.

"At first she didn't like me actually really disliked me but the days went on and we got closer then the boat came land I had to leave."

I could've told Hazel about how she kissed me and how I made the oath to do the impossible but I couldn't. Those things just seem personal.

"You like her." Is the first thing out of her mouth. You have no idea Hazel. "I do." I sigh and she smiles sadly. "Well can't you find your way back to her island?" Hazel wraps her arms around me from the side and I sigh.

"If only it were that easy." I mutter and she hears me and let's go. "What do you mean?" My fingers start turning white as my grip on the wheel gets tighter. "Once you leave Ogygia you can't go back. But she did give me some of her crystal so hopefully I can find it again." I mutter the last part, thinking out loud.

"Leo, what if you can't find it again? What if-" I stop her before she asks her second what if. "I have to." I say determinedly, looking at Hazel. Looking away I say "I swore on it." Hazel gasps quietly.

"You swore on it?!" She says backing away a little, hurt showing in her eyes. "You have Frank, Percy has Annabeth, Jason has Piper. I'm the seventh wheel, don't you remember?" I ask bitterly, remembering Nemesis words.

"Leo, you will never be the seventh wheel." Hazel pleads and I sigh. "Well I still need to find Calypso." Hazel nods and then yawns. "You should go sleep while you can." I suggest and Hazel nods. "Yeah I should, night Leo." She stands on her toes and kisses my cheek.

"Night Hazel." I say as she walks down to her cabin leaving me once again alone with my thoughts.
