~the new girl // elmax story~

~the new girl pt. 1~

max's pov:

as i sat down at my desk i yawned and struggled to keep my eyes open. "okay everybody, as i told you yesterday we have a new student joining us today." mr. clark said. shit, i had totally forgotten about that, even worse i had to be the tour gide for the new kid. the classroom door opened and a girl with shoulder length brunette hair, and hazel eyes walked into the classroom. everyone turned and looked at her as she kept her eyes on the ground. she was fidgeting with her sleeves and i could tell she was nervous. for whatever reason i couldn't pull my eyes away from her, and my heart was beating a millon miles an hour, and i could feel my palms start to sweat.

"everybody meet our newest student, jane!" mr. clark said. "jane.." i wispered to myself so nobody could hear. "max, you are going to be showing jane around after class alright?" mr. clark said. i nodded without pulling my eyes away from her. she looked at me making eye contact, and smiled. for whatever reason i got even more nervous and looked away. "jane you can go sit down there." mr. clark said pointing to an empty desk beside mine. jane nodded and walked towards the desk mr. clark had told her to sit at. as she sat down she glanced at me and gave a friendly smile, and i could feel my heart start to race faster.

"remember tomorrow we have a test, so make sure you study tonight." mr. clark said as the bell rang and everyone stood up. "hey max, meet us by the tree at lunch time okay?" lucas said. "yep, see you guys later." i said as i waved bye to the boys. i looked back at jane and saw her holding her backpack awkwardly. i stared at her for a few seconds just admiring her. for whatever reason i was really cerious about this 'so called jane girl' that was standing infront of me that i just couldn't seem to pry my eyes of off. i tried to speak but no sound came out at all. after a few more failed attempts i took a deep breath and tried one more time. "do you maybe wanna get shown around the school?" i asked in my best 'im not nervous' voice. "yeah sure, lets go." jane said. like before my heart started to race. wow, her voice sounded so.. amazing..

"let me see your time table." i said as i pointed to a peice of paper in her hand as we walked out of the classroom. she handed me the slip of paper and i looked at it. "period one science.. period two art.. period three lunch.. period four physical education.. period five english." i read outloud. i slightly smiled and then spoke. "we have almost identical time tables, just stick with me and your good." i said while handing her the slip of paper back. "alright, that sounds good." jane said while putting the peice of paper in her backpack.

we walked around the school for a bit, and i showed her all of her classes.

"so uh, where did you move from?" i asked. "i moved from lenora hills." she answered. "nice, i used to live in california also when i was younger." i said. we walked around the school for a few more minutes and then decided to meet at the office so we could walk to art class together. "okay, well it was nice meeting you max." jane said as she stuck out her hand. "nice to meet you too jane, see you soon." i said as i shook her hand. as soon as i shook her hand my stomach began to do somersaults, and my heart started to best faster then ever. she let go off my hand, and for whatever reason i suddenly felt sad and empty.

"hey max! is the tour with the new girl over?" lucas asked as i walked up to the boys. i nodded sadly. i sat down next to lucas and then mike began to talk. "you're so lucky you got to give her a tour, she is so hot." mike said. i gave him a disgusted look. "we dont need to hear about who you think is hot or ugly wheeler." i said in a slightly annoyed tone. "what do you guys think?" mike asked. "about what?" dustin asked. "about the new girl, jenny or whatever her name is." mike answered. "her name is jane mike!" i snapped. "whoa chill mayfield, you cant expect me to memorize everybodys names the day i meet them." mike said. "i could honestly score her, but my standards are suzie and suzie only." dustin answered with a stupid grin on his face. "same here, but i have my eye on someone." lucas said as he elbowed me in the arm. i rolled my eyes and scoffed. lucas had a crush on me, and he didn't even try to hide it. he has asked me out sevreal times, but i always reject him each and every time.

its not that i dont like him.. he's just not my type.

the bell rang and i stood up and ran towards the office to meet jane without even saying goodbye to any of the boys. i pushed passed hundreds of people that crouded the small hallways and eventually reached the office. once i got there i looked around for jane but didn't see her. my eyes scanned the crouds of people for any sign of her, but then i felt a tap on my shoulder. i turned around and saw jane smiling. "hey!" she said in her calm sweet voice. "hey, uh- should we get to art?" i asked. she nodded. "alrighty- lets go." i said as we walked towards art class.

new story i really didn't like the other one i started so i made a new one :)
