Bella Discovered

New Family

I opened my eyes to see Edward crouching in front of me. The girl who attacked was lying with her back against the wall. She had a big crack in her face. I gasped and Edward turned to look at me. His eyes were a coal black and he had a look of pure anger and disgust on his face. I started to tremble and whimper in fear. His expression soon changed once he saw me. "Are you alright Bella?" He asked me. "I'm fine" I whispered unable to find my voice. I was more worried about the girl. I looked over at her. Another man with blonde shaggy hair was holding her bridal style and carrying her out of the room. "I'm sorry!" I half whisper yelled. " Don't worry about Alice. She'll be fine" Edward said reassuringly. So Alice was her name. What a nice name. I started to feel tired and my eyes drooped. The last thing heard was. "Sweet dreams Bella." I sighed and a smile spread on my face. I heard a quiet chuckle as unconsciousness came over me.

"Bella get in here right now!!" Screamed my mother from the kitchen. Oh no what did I do now. I stomped down stairs to find her holding a knife. "Why are there dishes in the sink?" She asked. "Sorry mother. I was busy doing my homework." I replied. She glared at me. "Does it look like I give a shit about your homework." She stalked closer to me holding the knife out in front of her. I panicked and started running down the hall. But it was no use. She soon caught up and i felt a stinging pain down my back. She had sliced my back. I fell to the floor holding back tears knowing she would hurt me again if she knew I was crying. "Get up and go to your room." She commanded. I walked up the stairs and my mother followed me. I tripped on my way in and fell onto my bed. My mother came in with a belt. Oh no! I screamed in my head and she put a scarf around my mouth. All of a sudden I hear a big crack.... And then I felt the sting on my back.
-End of Dream

"Aaaaaaaaah!" I woke up shrieking my head off. "Bella?" A soothing voice asked. "Bella calm down" He said. Stone arms wrapped around me and held me gently. For some strange reason I felt warm despite the coldness of his arms. I was sobbing now. I still remember how the belt felt against my back. Each of the 12 times she did it it got worse. I looked up into Edwards eyes. I inhaled sharply. How could he be so beautiful? "Are you okay Bella?" He asked me. "I..I..I'm fine" I stutter. I look down in embarrassment. My cheeks flushing. "Bella?" Someone else asked. I looked up and saw Carlisle walk into the room. Part of me wanted to be alone with Edward and the other half wanted me to get away from him so I don't babble. "Bella. Do you want to stay here for awhile?" He asked wearily. "Your mother has been arrested for harming you. Are you alright Bella?" He asked after my eyes widened and a huge smile spread on my face. "Is she really gone?" I asked excitedly. "Yes" Edward answered for him. I wasn't thinking due to all the excitement and I hugged Edward. As soon as I realized what I was doing I pulled back. "I'm so so sorry" I apologize my head hanging in shame.

"Bella why are you apologizing?" Edward asks placing a hand under my chin and lifting it so our eyes meet. " Please forgive me. I wasn't thinking." I sigh. He looked me in the eyes making me feel dizzy. "Is it because you hugged me?" He asked. His eyebrows furrowed. I nodded afraid to speak. In case I say something wrong.

Then he did something I didn't expect. He leaned in and hugged me. My body responded before I got the chance to think. And I reached up and wrapped my arms around his neck. "Don't be afraid. I will always forgive you no matter what you do. Don't forget that." He whispered in my ear. My stomach started tingling at his words. I hear a cough in the background only them remembering that Carlisle was still in the room. Edward pulled back and turned to face him. "So do you want to stay here Bella?" Carlisle asked. I nodded. A small smile on my lips. "Well then. I'll go inform the rest of the family so they can meet you." He says walking out of the room.

"Let's go downstairs now Bella" Edward said after a moment. "Your new family is waiting to meet you." He looked at me as he took my hand and led me downstairs to a door that is very likely holding my new family. Edward turned the door handle and slowly opened the door. I walked into the room to find six people. I recognize Carlisle, Alice and the man who carried her out of the room. A woman with soft caramel hair steps forward and introduces herself. "Hello dear. My name is Esme, you must be Bella. Nice to meet you." She puts out her hand. I shyly shake it a light blush forming on my cheeks. "Nice to meet you too." I reply grinning at the kindness of her voice. I feel welcome already. "Welcome to the crazy family lil' sis!" A big voice booms. I look over to where the voice came from and see a beautiful girl with perfect blonde hair and a huge muscular guy with short black hair. The man was starting to scare me. He had a big grin on his face and his arms where folded. Suddenly I felt a wave of calmness wash over me. The man with blonde shaggy hair was looking at me. "My names Jasper." The man said in a slightly southern accent. "Don't worry about Emmett over there. He's really just a big teddy bear on the inside" He explains making me giggle. Suddenly the blonde haired girl walks out of the room with a huff. Emmett follows her with an apologetic look on his face as he yells "Rosalie wait!" chasing after her. "Don't worry about her." Edward murmurs in my ear making me shiver uncontrollably. "She is just having a hard time not being the most beautiful girl in the room." He chuckles lightly. " What do you mean?" I ask turning to face him. "I mean that since you have been here, Miss Vain has been the second most beautiful." He said making my heart flutter. I suddenly remember not being alone and I turn around to find the room empty. "Where did everyone go?" I ask Edward turning back to him. "They gave us some privacy." He replied smiling. I blushed and looked at my feet. "How about I show you where you'll be sleeping" He suggests. I nod and follow him out the door.

YAY!!! Finally a longer chapter. Soooo.... I'm trying to update A.S.A.P.
