Michael's P.O.V.

This night has been so beautiful and totally unexpected. As I continue to dance with her, holding her very close in my arms, I can feel the pain that's she's trying to hide from me. Boy, whoever abused her and crushed her heart makes me want to beat the living shit out of him. I pull my face away so I can see those beautiful, round, light-brown eyes. Shirley giggles and looks up at me. "What is it?", she asks. "Nothin'. Just lookin' into those gorgeous eyes of yours.", I reply back. She blushes and looks down. "Thank you. Is that all you see when you look at me?", she asked. "No, not at all. I see a beautiful woman. I see a person full of love, compassion, loyalty, and curiosity. I also see a woman who's been hurt...a lot. And that's why it's been hard for you to trust people, men especially. That's the side of you I want to know.", I reply honestly. She looks at me deeply in my eyes. "No, you don't. You don't need any negativity in your life.", she starts to pull away and I grab her waist and pull her into my chest and passionately kiss her like never before. My hands circle around her waist and her hands are around my neck. "Yes I do, Shirley. I care about you. I want to share everything with you. Your pain, your joy, your love, your hurt.", I whisper softly on her lips.
