Missing

Everythings Normal

The police had put tape around where Ben had been stabbed, and all three of them were questioned about what had happened. The police went to the house in the woods and found that Ben had been hurting them which the blood DNA on the knife showed, so the kids weren't charged for murder because they considered it self defense. The police then returned them to their families who were relieved to see them after they had gone missing.

Clarice had apparently been missing for two months, and she had cut scars from every day that Ben had visited her in the basement of the house. Vivian and Josh had been missing for a few hours, but everyone was still equally worried about them because they knew someone had kept Clarice hidden for so long. They all had matching scars on their palms from the first day that they were in the basement, everyone considered the scars something to represent how brave the friends had been when facing a psychopath.

Everything started going back to normal, kids were going back to school, it was canceled because of Ben taking kids, parents didn't want their kids being taken on their way to and from school. Kids weren't even allowed to leave the house at all, but Vivian and Josh did anyway, so that they could go look for Clarice. Everyone was happy everything was going back to normal.

"What's your costume going to be Clarice?" asked Vivian, who was munching one a sandwich that her mom had made her.

"I think I'm going to be a zombie, all these scars will make it look realistic." Clarice said.

It was the year after the kidnapping of the two girls and boy, but they were going about Halloween the same as usual. Everyone does watch the kids a little more intently, but other than that it's just like a normal Halloween. Everyone is still handing out candy, and kids are dressing up as something that their imaginations dream up.

"So you guys ready for trick or treating tomorrow? I heard that the rich families are giving out cash this year, so you can buy your own candy." Josh said, making a money sign with his fingers.

"Yeah, I am ready to hit every house in the town, maybe we could even hit some houses twice." said Vivian, who was clearly excited for the holiday.

"Let's just make sure not to go near the manor, they say Ben's ghost haunts the old crumbling building." Clarice said. "Some people even say that they see his ghost through the windows, wandering the halls, looking for his killers."

They all started to laugh at the comment Clarice had made.

When lunch was over everyone started to head towards their next class. No one even noticed the man looking through the classroom window. He took photos and wrote down names; Josh, Vivian, and Clarice. The man gave a crooked yellow grin, and walked away down the street. Clarice looked out the window and saw the man, he was very tall and slim. That's when she had a feeling that this Halloween was going to be the worst Halloween anyones ever had.
