-ALLIE PARKER-
-CHAPTER 9-
Josie Saltzman drenched herself in cold water. It burned her skin, but she couldn't feel it. She couldn't feel anything.
She had lost Hope. She had lost a Mikaelson. A couple hundred years ago a hunter would have gotten hung for being this much of a disappoint.
She wondered what her father would do. He had been happier lately. More content that they were on a Mikaelson's trail, but now . . .
The last time he laid a hand on her was when she saved Landon's life. She tried to take the beating with pride - or as much as one could. She had gotten what she wanted, that was the consequence, but now Landon was gone, and it was probably her fault and their legendary target was most likely never going to be found again.
Landon was soft hearted, yes, but he was also one of the best hunters Josie had ever met and she had met a lot. If he didn't want Hope found, she wouldn't be.
Josie vigoursly scrubbed down her body making the skin go red. Hell would be waiting for her when she finished. She wasn't ready for it.

And the Saltzman was right. After her bath, her father found her in her room. He came with guards, they took her to the pole and whipped her senseless. The entire school watched her bleed red, and the entire time her father ranted about the dangers of supernaturals.
"My daughter Josette got bested by a supernatural! And this is how she is treated."
Alaric took the whip to Josie again and the hunter let out another scream of agony.
"In the past, she would have been killed for her insolence, but no longer!" His voice boomed across the compound, "There are some among you that believe you can escape this mission through death! But that's what you all don't understand. THIS MISSION WILL NEVER STOP!"
The whole crowd was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop. Josie let loose another scream as Alaric swung the whip once more.
"Death is no longer a punishment! Instead you will be treated with a consequence worse than death! WHAT DO WE DO THIS FOR?" Alaric screamed.
"The betterment of our world!" The crowd returned.
"And how do we do that?"
"BY HUNTING!"
The last thing Josie saw was Alaric's sneer before he whipped her once more, blacking her out.

Josie had been in and out of consciousness for hours. She was dumped in a dirty cell after her punishment. A woman came to find her during that time, but Josie had blacked out most of it. She remembered being pushed on a med table to somewhere and the next conscious memory she had was of waking up in a medical room with her cousin sitting in a chair.
Her cousin, Allie Parker, was the top hunter. She had killed more supernaturals than Josie would have thought possible. Allie was the daughter of Olivia Parker. Liv was a ruthless hunter, and she passed all of that hate onto her daughter. Who only became more vengeful when she found her mother dead at age ten.
Allie lay in the chair like a queen. Like she owned everyone and everything and Josie was lucky to be in her presence. Her eyes narrowed when she saw that Josie was awake.
She stared at Josie like she was waiting for something, but what could she be waiting for . . . and that's when Josie felt it: the metallic collar around her neck.
The Saltzman clawed at her neck, but the collar was unbreakable. She could barely talk but she was able to make out a few words, "What . . . did . . . you—"
Allie's dead smile was just like her father's, "I'll save you the trouble," Allie got up from her chair and slowly strolled towards Josie, "That is deadman's collar around your neck, and the rumors are true in that it is impossible to get it off."
Deadman's collar was outlawed years ago by her father. It was a horrible weapon kept around their witches. If one of their witches betrayed them or even looked at them in the wrong way, the collar would shock them. Josie had never seen one in person but the stories always gave her shivers.
The Saltzman already knew the answer, but she couldn't help asking. She wanted to hear the words from her family's mouth, "Why?"
"Why do you think, Josette? Did you really think that the whipping was your only punishment?" Her cousin laughed, "Your father knows there's something," Allie poked her in the head, "a little wrong right here."
A hunter didn't cry, but she felt the tears coming. This was Hell.
"Naturally, your father gave you to me," Allie smirked, "Honestly, he should have given me both of you a long time ago, but we're past that now."
Allie tucked a piece of hair behind Josie's ear, "Now obviously we need you in fighting shape if we have any hope of killing that Mikaelson girl, so I had our witches cook us up something special to heal those wounds on your back. It should take a couple of days, but no matter if we split your wounds back open, we'll just make some more."
Allie gripped Josie's chin in a swift movement, pulling her head down so she could give Josie a quick kiss on the head, "I see you tomorrow for training."
And with that Allie was gone, leaving a horrified Josie in her wake.
CHAPTER SUMMARY: Josie is punished for losing Hope and Landon by the hunters. As part of her punishment Alaric gives Josie to her cousin: Allie Parker (daughter of Olivia Parker - the woman who Hope killed as a baby). Allie Parker is the top hunter and wants to kill Hope Mikaelson more than anything.
A/N: Soooo the hunters are horrible as I said. The punishment for Josie is pretty rough, but it felt like the only way to do it because of the way they're brought up.
Allie is here to stay! She's pretty much the main villain of the story. And she is played by the wonderful: Crystal Reed.
