Bex took three small sips of her beer before handing it to Red and deciding she'll just have the bottle of sprite she packed in her mini bag, incase something like this happened.  "What's going on with you and Ant?" Gem questioned "He keeps looking at you" Red added, chugging some of her drink.

"I kinda ghosted him. I feel guilty but" Bex looked down to her feet. "But?" "But I want to talk to him" "So why don't you" "Because I like him and I don't want him thinking anything different of me. I just don't know what to say" Bex said quite concerned laced within her voice.

"Stop over thinking. Just say. Hey Ant I like you, sorry for ghosting you, wanna fuck?" Red proposed "Funny, Red" Bex said with a straight face. Gem grabbed Bex's shoulders and said "His not going to think anything bad about you just because you had a mental breakdown. Besides you guys have known each other since you were like 11" "You're right" "Now go get your man" Gem shoved her in his direction.

Bex confidently took three steps in his direction before chickening out, turning around and walking the opposite way. "Yeah, absolutely not." Instead of talking to Ant, she went to hang out with Darren.

Michaela tried to get here to come back but bumped into someone else instead. "Oh sorry" "It's okay, I'm Malakai by the way" The new guy said taking his hand out to shake, which Michaela gladly took. "Cute name for a cute guy" That's when he smiled and boy oh boy, Michaela had never seen a more beautiful smile in her life.

"You're bold" "I try" Malakai smiled once more, silence filled the air and  Michaela mental cursed knowing that she forgot to tell him her name. "Oh ah I'm Michaela but everyone just calls me Red."  Fuck. She knew this man all of two seconds and she was already simping or maybe it was the beer? "Well Red. Do ya wanna dance?" "I'd love too"

As she danced with Malakai, Michaela could feel the side eye Spider was giving her but she didn't care. There was a hot man dancing with her, her focus was definitely on him. 

And just like that Grace was standing alone but alas help was on the way. "Hey Gem" "Hey Quinine" "Why are you standing alone" "Because everyone ditched me" "Oh" "Wanna take a walk" "Sure"

The two girls' walked down a the hill and along the graves on the footpath. "I'm excited for her to drop the next book, the story just can't end like that" "I know, when I realized it was the last page I was soo sad" "If she doesn't drop the next book I might die." The two burst out laughing.

The conversation switched and Quinine was talking about her research and how she was going to confront Spider, honestly Quinine could be talking about cockroaches and Gem would just sit and listen. She would find it weird but she'd still give Quinine all her attention. "O you got a new ring" Quinine said picking her hand up to admire it. 

She rubbed the palm of her hand softy, Grace could feel her checks heating up and was thankful that it was kinda dark. Gems ring was a rose quartz. "What does it mean?" "It means love Quinine"

"You know what fuck it. My life is already in shambles. It couldn't get any worse." Bex said to Darren and Red. Who had finished dancing with Malakai. "Do you know what you're going to say?" "Fuck no" Those were the last words she said to Darren and Red before going over to Ant; who had just finished djing.

"Hey Bex" "Walk with me?" Bex had no clue what she was fucking doing as she asked him that question and held out her hand. He took it though, "Yeah" So hand in hand she led him away from the party. "Where are we going" "I don't know" Ant chuckled at her response. 

They sat down on some grass and Bex finally spoke her mind. "I'm sorry I ghosted you" "Nah, it's okay. I get it" "How your mum take it?" Bex figured they have had similar experiences, so she just had to ask. "She's pissed and now I have to go to church like three more times a week" "I think my mum will make me join you with that"

"Yeah well at least will have each other" Ant said nudging her a bit . Bex smiled when her gazed move from his eyes to his lips then back to eyes. She noticed he did the same. Ant gently placed his hand on her cheek, creasing it softly before they both leaned in for a kiss. He stopped inches away from her lips as she felt his hot breath tiggle on her lips. "Can I kiss you?" Ant's voice dropped. 

Bex was screaming inside. Ant's voice somehow dropped 5 levels and the consent? Hot. So fucking hot. She knew exactly what to say.  

 "Yes"

"Hey Guys!" Looking to the bottom of the hills pathway, they found Quinine and Grace standing awkwardly behind her, seeming trying to stop her. Who had interrupted the two before they're lips could touch. Bex and Ant pulled away from each. "Sorry did I interrupted something?" Quinine said walking towards them. "Sorta yeah" Ant answered for both of them.

"Oh sorry about that"

Bex looked at Ant before nodding, getting up and pulling Grace and Quinine away. Leaving Ant sitting there contemplating his life. The three came back to the party and Quinine went to go confront Spider; who didn't take it well. Gem was going to tell her how proud she was of her but Sasha got to her first.

Gem saw the way Quinine looked at Sasha and she knew that only meant one thing. So she went to get another drink. Red and Bex quickly noticed the change in her mood so, Red got another drink for moral support, while Bex drank her sprite.

Ant and Malakai came over for a bit. They all laughed and enjoyed the conversation, everyone needed to feel better and Ant needed to stopped drinking so much. He eventually walked off to some grass and threw up. Everyone looked away,  he stumbled a bit walking back. Yeah he was a bit shitfaced.

"Hey babe" He said pulling in Bex for a hug. Michaela and Grace's jaw was practical on the floor. Bex pulled out of the hug and took a bottle of water out of her bag for him to drink. Which she helped him drink before they deiced to leave.

Meeting up at the entrance way Amerie looked a bit sad. "Let's get the hell out of here." "Tonight was weird anyway" "I'm not going to let her win. I'm gonna to go back to school and I'm gonna make it my bitch." "Period"

Bex drove Michaela and Grace home before getting home herself. They all needed sleep ASAP.

Sunday morning came around and Grace and Michaela both woke up with a massive hang over. Grace still felt shitty about the whole Quinine situation. The girl she liked, liked another girl. So she did what any person would do; called over Michaela over, got some Maccas and stayed in bed and watched Twilight together.

Meanwhile Bex was at Church, where she saw Ant. He looked like he was going to fall asleep at any moment. She still couldn't stop thinking about the fact that they almost kiss, that thought got twisted into some very spicy thoughts, that probably shouldn't be thought at Church.
