Kai doesn't know what he was thinking by asking Beomgyu about Minjun. More so, he doesn't know what he was thinking when he agreed to let Minjun sit with them at lunch. He already doesn't like Minjun from the encounter they had in the restroom, finding out about Beomgyu and him being friends only added fuel to the fire. This whole time he thought he knew almost everything about Beomgyu, just to find out he didn't even know who one of his friends was.

Every tick of the clock on the wall feels like a taunt and he can feel the knot in his stomach growing larger, like he's going to be sick at any moment. He can partially blame the Beomgyu situation for his nausea, but majority of it is coming from his medication—or lack of it. It's been almost an entire week since he's been off his medication, and the withdrawals are progressively getting worse. The nausea and headaches are worse throughout the day, but the restlessness he gets at night only makes it worse for him. The unresolved feelings between him and Beomgyu are doing nothing to help how he's feeling inside, either.

A nudge to his side pulls him out of his thoughts and draws his attention to Taehyun, who is looking at him with a slight frown. He looks around and sees other students talking to each other and assumes that class ended early when he sees the teacher sitting down at his desk scrolling through his phone.

"What?" Kai asks.

"You've been spaced out all class. Is everything okay?"

Kai hums before forcing a small smile. Taehyun is still giving him a skeptical look, obviously not falling for the fake smile.

"This is about... Minjun, right?" Taehyun continues, a little unsure and Kai nods again.

"Kind of. Haven't really been feeling well." This causes Taehyun to place the back of his hand against Kai's head, a small frown forming afterwards.

"You're really hot."

"I'm aware."

The glare sent his way makes him burst out in laughter, his hand quickly covering his mouth as his eyes widen. Taehyun relaxes in his seat, his eyes sparkling as he watches the shocked boy beside him. He huffs loudly, his arms crossing over his chest as Taehyun gives him a small laugh.

"So," Taehyun starts after a moment. "What's the deal with Minjun? Do you not like him?"

"I just... I don't know, where did he even come from? And why is Beomgyu suddenly so close with him?"

Taehyun hums, closing his planner and placing it neatly in his bag. "Do you ever think that maybe you're harboring deeper feelings for Beomgyu than you let on?"

Kai freezes, before feigning nonchalance and shaking his head. "Nope. We're friends, nothing more nothing less."

"Friends wouldn't get jealous over—"

"I'm not jealous," he cuts Taehyun off, who just stares at him in annoyance. They've had the jealous conversation at least twice today. "I told you, I don't like Beomgyu like that."

Truth be told, he isn't exactly sure how he feels about him. He never even thought about Beomgyu in that way until he kissed him in the kitchen a few nights ago. Since then, his brain has been on a never-ending Beomgyu cycle. He can't focus on his classwork without thoughts of the older popping into his head, and every time they are near each other, he find himself staring at him longer than he should. As much as he wants to pretend like he doesn't have any feelings towards Beomgyu, he knows there's something there.
